After reading and reading and reading the instructions on the USCIS site, I called this morning for assistance.

I was able to get right to a person after taking advice from a thread and calling very early.

I started off asking my questions about the G-325a.

My fiancee does not have a middle name, what should I put in this box.

She stated that absolutely no box can be left blank on the forms. She said you must put N/A for the box.

For the line for former husband, first name, dob, city and country of birth, date of marriage, and place of marriage.

She said that every box must be filled out. So I put none for current husband and N/a for everything else on the line.

Then I asked about the I-129F part A question 10. SHe said that she could not legally answer a question dealing with the I-129F. SHe told me to get a laywer for this form. I am not joking! That is what she said.

My question to you is should I call back and try for another person or ask for an immigration officer? Or what? How can we get help for the form?

Thanks....

Why don't you just use the examples forms on VJ that are already filled out...?

http://www.visajourney.com/content/examples

They are ment to help if your not sure what to put.

The VJ example forms have many blanks.. Is that OK?

Follow the guides on here as Inky has said and Q10 is about the USC where they were born not hard is it. If you are the USC then where were you born a USC or is it through immigrant naturalization? All answers if not applicable to you you must put N/A

The VJ example forms have many blanks.. Is that OK?

No where there are blanks on the example form is just an example if it is applicable to you then you fill it in. Read and re read I suggest you do.

I feel your pain. I had made several calls to the USCIS trying to ask for some guidance. I am sure they are bound by strict guidelines though on what they can or can't say. But generally speaking, like they said, do not leave anything blank. Either put None or N/A. Keep in mind these are universal forms meant for the masses. Not EVERYTHING will apply to EVERYONE. If a line does not apply, then say so, like on the middle name. So long as any other documents do not have a middle name(or 3 parts of a name), like the birth certificate.

I don't know if this applies to you or not, but in some societies the naming structure is way different. I still get confused over my fiancee's name. There is given name, family name, fathers name, Surname, etc. So long as the parts of the name are the same on all the forms and ID, regardless of order, you will be fine.

Thanks Fordnut74...

I have seen many threads where people have left blanks and had no problems.

Is it still just a great idea just to put something in every box.

You got so lucky. I am suprised they answered that much. They were much less helpful with me. Don't count on them at all. Just use VisaJourney.com and common sense. After you have read about 50 hours of reading on Visajourney.com you will have a much better idea of what to do. I called an attorney and they wanted me to deposit $ 300 to talk to them. I've spent enough money on attorneys in my like ($ 15,000 ) to know they will soak you. You can do it. If you can read English, you can do it. Just read everything twice or three times and you will get through it. Also, in most cases the answer should be "NONE" and not "N/A". Don't put "N/A" for a "None" answer or it might get returned. In the questions that state "If your..." I didn't put anything but maybe I can go back and put N/A. The reason is that the "If" questions didn't apply to me.

What is your question about Part A #10 on the 129F?

The example form is accurate. If something does not apply to you and the answer is None, then you put None in the first box, and leave the rest of the corresponding boxes blank. For example, Part B #13, asks to list all children of the alien fianee, so if she has none, you put None in the first box of the 3 lines, and leave the other corresponding lines/boxes blank. Many many many people have filled in the form and filed it this way, and had no problems with it. If you want to put N/A on all the following corresponding lines/boxes after you enter None in the first box, then go ahead if it makes you more at peace about it. I just do not think it is necessary.

why would you put N/A if they don't have a middle name? Wouldn't the correct choice be "none"?

I ask this because my fiance also doesn't have a middle name and I am filling out the forms and I put none. Is that fine?

Also when answering the question how you met, do you put in the box "refer to supplement sheet" or do you type as much of the story in the box then continue on the supplement sheet?

Thanks

Level 1 Call Center personnel use a script on what they reply to you. You ask a question, and they find the appropriate response in the script if they can. If your question is outside of the script, then they can't answer it for you.

As discussed above, use the touch-tone prompts to get in touch with a Level 2 person.

Care,

Bill
