Good morning,

We were approved for the I-129F on 14 July, and a letter (NOA2) was sent to me informing us that the packet will be sent to the Visa center on the East Coast. It as been over 30 days and I've not received any further information from anyone. Having said that, if there is no communication, I wonder if the packet has even arrived yet or do they not send out letters stating that they've received it or sent it overseas to the embassy. I did email for a status inquiry to USCIS, since it's been 30 days. Anyone dealing with this or has dealt with this? I've noticed that mail is extremely slow lately, too, is that the cause? Also, the NOA2 has an expiration date on it. It's good for like 4 months, or so. My question is, are they working within this window to approve and send everything? Are there cases where this validity expires, causing the petitioner to resubmit or something else, to continue the process?

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

Thanks

You should definitely call NVC and inquire about your case status. What i heard is that they usually ask for beneficiary info to pull up your case. Your packet might already be at the embassy.

Got it, thanks. I called NVC and they said it went to Kiev on 8th of August. Yet, no letter of notification. I bet you it will arrive today :)
