I mailed in my mother's AOS packet to the Chicago Lockbox last month (concurrent I-130), we got the NOA and even her appt for fingerprints but now we recieved a letter that we need to submit I-864, I-693, and a copy of her I-94.. all of which was included in the original packet!!!!

I called the customer service number and they basically read the letter back to me (big help they are), when I asked what had happened to all the documentation I had mailed in they were not able to give me an answer and just kept threatening that if I didnt submit the requested evidence my case would be denied...

I dont have a problem mailing it all back in (but it is annoying), I just wanted to know if anyone here has had a similar situation happen to them?

It looks like some of you paperwork got lost. That sucks. I think I read about it happening one other time. You could call and ask for someone to do a manual check but it would probably come up empty. I am not sure what else you want us to say.

You can curse, and disgust, if some of the documents are lost, you can fight it, call them, make appointments but it would be easier to go forward and submit your evidence in time. So moving forward

Assuming, you would have made a copy of the whole package I-864 is not a problem, just print and get it signed again and send with the tax returns or W2.

I-94 is also not a problem just make one more copy and send it.

The bummer is I-693, but you can always go to the doctor who did it initially and may be request him/her to do it for you again as he may have a record and you can tell him that it's for the same person and he may do it without any cost.

Don't worry about what has happened, send the stuff they need in RFE ASAP and your case would move forward.

Good luck.

Im putting all the stuff back together, we are having trouble with the I-693 since there is only one lady at the doctor's office that deals with this and shes on vacation, so I guess we wait for her to come back.

This is so frustrating after having spent the time to put everything in order, I had everything clipped together with a 2-hole prong fastener so I am not sure how it could have gotten lost?? but whatever... I guess I expected better service from people who deal with this on a daily basis...

thanks for your input guys!

Yes I have seen this sort of thing mentioned a few times where they have requested info already sent. Easiest just to send the missing forms in, because it will cause longer delays if you dont and as far as they are concerned, they dont have them. Best of luck.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .
