I received and email from nvc today they say I did not send proof of relationship to my father. My father did the I-864a household member. I sent a copy of my birth certificate and our id's to show proof of relationship and proof of same household. How does this not prove our relationship? They also said we have to do a new i-864a I am not sure what I did wrong I reviewed the application several times. They say the sponser/joint sponser must sign in blue or black inc and it must be original. I typed it on the computer and watched my dad sign the application with a black pen. I did the i-864 and only had my dad do a i-864a becouse he is in the household. I am really confused now. I have to wait until tomorrow to call to talk to someone from nvc but if anyone can give me a head's up it will be great. Thank's

Why are you posting in the K3 forum? If you're sending things to NVC, it's for a CR1 or IR1 visa, not K3. If your father is head of household, he should provide an I-864, not I-864a. Did you send a separate copy of your birth certificate with the AOS package or are you relying on NVC to look for the one you sent with the petition initially? Make things as easy for them as you can. This blue ink issue has raised its head more prominently recently. A blue ball point pen would be a good idea. That way, they can see the indentation on the paper and it can't be mistaken for a photocopy.
