I had my biometrics done last Friday and now looking forward for my EAD card. My question is, after the biometrics how long should I wait before my EAD is approved? I will be interviewed by a hiring manager on Monday, both the HR and I thinks I am qualified for the job but I am worried that if I pass I dont have my EAD yet.

Assuming i pass and I have a job offer and no EAD on hand, can use the job offer as evidence to expedite my EAD?

It's worth a try to make an Infopass appointment once you have a written job offer to show. The worst thing that can happen is that you have to wait.

EADs can never be expedited because of a job offer. Processing is expedited in extreme cases only including life-threatening situations of an immediate relative, or if your case is off the regular processing time.

Not so. I have seen people post here on VJ about successfully expediting their EAD because of a firm job offer.

To the OP> Do a search here on VJ for expediting EAD. Several of the people I read about that had success in doing so used their congressman. It cannot hurt to ask.

Hm.

Before I applied for all of my documentation, I let my future employer know of my situation.

They accepted.

Let them know that you have a process going on and that it should not take too long! Tell the truth, is what I'd do!

I told my employer of my status and that it shouldn't take long before I receive my EAD but with the unemployment rate right now I doubt if they will keep me or wait for my EAD to arrive. the competition out there is tough and getting a job interview right now is already a blessing for me as I didnt expect I would pass the HR screening. Thanks so much for your advise!

To the MODERATOR/ADMIN SITE --> I ACCIDENTALLY posted this thread twice so I am gonna reply to the other thread as well.

I think I read it about a month ago that they were able to expedite their EAD. Thanks for letting me know!

I wanted to get this job as I think its a good start for me and it is a big company! I just hope that I am good enough for them to decide to keep me and wait for my EAD to arrive.

Hello! The info pass is done in the DHS office right? Or I can just call the hotline? Thanks!
