Passport renewal

My passport will expire next year, i am already here in Washington state for two years (still waiting for my 10 year GC).

Where can i renew my passport? Can i renew it in the Philippines or i can do it here in WA State? My friend told me the office will be in California. I dunno if thats true?

have you looked up which consulate of the philippines is responsible for washington state? that's where i'd start, if i was in your shoes.

your embassy is in San Francisco CA Consulate Finder but you don't have to go over there just check your consulate if they have an outreach program in your area they had an outreach last June 24-26 in Seattle Outreach Program where in WA do you live?

Kizmet is right. Washington state is under the jurisdiction of San Francisco, CA. My wife and I made a trip down specifically to renew her passport. There is no way around it.

You can renew it in the PI if you are planning on making a trip, but if not the San Francisco is your only option.

I renewed my passport last year at the Phil Consulate General in LA while still a resident of WA state. I just did a walk-in and got my new passport in 2 weeks. I did the report of marriage at the same time too because I changed my last name.

Yes, you can take care of your business at the outreach in Seattle, but the outreach is very busy. My friend fell in line there all day, and had to return the next day to finish up his business. If you go to the Seattle outreach, go early.

i have to correct myself. I now remember that I had to go to LA because we got married in Las Vegas. The rule is you report your marriage to whichever consulate general's jurisdiction the place of marriage falls under. But I guess, if it's just renewal without the report of marriage (a requirement for name change) you can go whichever one.

There are outreaches in Portland also. Keep your eye on their web site for the dates.

any website for that outreach? everytime i click the link, it wont show the info... Plus what if i don't renew my passport, are there any consequences or penalty fee?
