They got my files on feb 18 and got my Noa1 a week after! And now still wait im onnmy way to 6th months thats not normal! I driving crazy looking how march and april filer from dominican repiblic is getti their NOa2 :( and nothimg for me! :/ any suggestion?

What exactly is your NOA1 date? After 6 months have passed you can call USCIS (800-375-5283). From there go to check your case status put you're receipt number in and then press the number to speak to a representative. When they answer let them know you want to put in an expedite request for being outside of normal processing time (5 months + 30 days). They will likely transfer you to a Tier II representative and you can put in your request to them.

8.28.2014 Received Text/Email "Card/Document Production" (Day 64 (Day 59 from Priority Date))

9.5.2014 Received Text/Email that EAD card has been mailed (Day 72 (Day 67 from PD))

9.8.2014 EAD Card received!! (Day 75 (Day 70 from PD))

9.12.2014 Applied for SSN (Day 79 (Day 74 from PD))

9.18.2014 Received SSN (Day 85 (Day 80 from PD))

10.08.2014 Received Interview Date for Nov 14th!! (Day 105 (Day 100 from PD))

11.14.2014 Interview Date!!! (Day 142 (Day 137 from PD))

On February 18, 2011, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or contact our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

omg,, this is normal?? when i call they says that the are working on it ? they work weekend?? it affects my case if i call alot??? help me cause it kills me looking how everybody is getting it and not me :(

OK so on Aug 18 (thursday) call USCIS and do what I told you above. I don't think it affects your case if you call alot because you are calling USCIS and not VSC. I know it sucks to be first "in line" and have other people "skip" over you, but if you don't hear anything by thursday call them.

While the processing goal for this type of petitions is 5 months, some people have had to wait longer for adjudication of their petition. You can look at the timelines here in VJ to see an approximate date of the petitions they are working on at the VSC. You could also call USCIS and inquire about the status of your case.

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

There really is no "skipping" over people as there is no "single" line here. The cases go to many adjudicators with many different workloads.

That is EXACTLY why I put them in quotations.

There really is no "skipping" over people as there is no "single" line here. The cases go to many adjudicators with many different workloads. If an adjudicator just happens to have many difficult cases before yours, then yours will be delayed and someone else's case on another adjudicator's desk will get processed ahead of yours. Another thing that could happen is that you may have a name hit and then your case would need additional investigation. There is no "line" we are waiting in. All cases go to the USCIS and then from there to individual adjudicator's desks. Some of these people will be slow by nature and some will be fast. Some will have a few large cases and some will have very clean cases, it' just luck of the draw.
