Then, if you'll notice, it's people from outside the affected communities that come in to clean up. Not the folks from the actual neighborhoods themselves. Oh you'll get a group of them (the six people on the nightly news) but most will be do-gooders from the suburbs who don't realize it's their fault this happened in the first place.

Not what I see here in Englewood, Woodlawn, etc... but I get your point. Suburbanites with money also pitch in from what I've seen in unfortunate incidents where property damage has occured (storms, fire, etc).

When you pay people to do nothing more than waste time and reproduce, eventually they'll become self-destructive. For whatever reason, humans are parasitic when they don't have to fend for themselves. England will be the same way. Looks like they're getting there. And, my guess is with the absence of weapons by "the good guys" the bad guys will be able to be a lot more dangerous next time.

I can't read minds so that would be a stupid question. I did see enough to know that those "do-gooders" care a lot about their communities.

Yeah there are always some... but predictably there is not enough to keep the ship afloat.

The undertow move in and the "decent folk" flee to the next outer ring of suburbia.
