I thought of one more thing for you to check...make sure you don't refer to each other as husband or wife on Facebook, Orkut or any other social networking site you use. CO's have been known to pull up your FB account to use it against you.

Why do you need to print out the content of the emails at all? Isn't it enough to print out the top page that tells you the sender, date and title for both sent and received emails? USCIS has a right to know how often you communicate, but do they really need to know what's in those messages?

I sent the Skype printouts showing date and duration, not the conversations themselves, for both text messages and phone calls.

It may be a different requirement in India, but it gets around the "wife" endearment neatly. :)

I have a question with interview

its the following, with the question thy ask, like ...(how u prove ongoing relationship)

ive just copy pasted all our [pm's] from Facebook

and i have like 1715 pages of our pm's total

and becauz i know its alot and i dont see someone going to a interview with like 1700+ pages with them just from Facebook

that's allready alot of papers and thats witouth prove from skype chat and call logs ... (its even way more from skype)

so im asking, do i need to print all of the 1715 pages from Facebook [PM's] from the start ?

or do i just need tho do show them like prove with ongoing relationship from after we send the app , to show them we still have contact

so its gonig to be Facebook + skype + phonebills + magicjack call log prove

thats what my question is

or what if thy ask me , prove how u both meet ... where i say; on a mmorpg game called pwi and so on ....

so i want to know if i need tho show them from start on from everything, or just from what i show them from the date on after we started the app ?

Ty all for reading and answering this =)

My fiance and I are very close to submitting our I-129F package, we have all of our forms completed and he is in the process of mailing me his signed paperwork from India.

I've been gathering evidence of our ongoing relationship and starting printing out emails, chat logs, facebook messages, etc.

The first question is, I understand you are allowed to black out personal information with a marker, but how much is too much? I have one email message that I would like to submit because of the date but my fiance mentions a lot of personal info on that email so I had to black out a few sentences. Should that be ok?

Also, in some of our messages he refers to me as "wife" purely as an affectionate term. I'm just worried that if USCIS sees this it will arm them with more questions to drill Kirpal with at his interview, or worse make him prove that we are not married!

Should I just black out "wife" from our messages to be safe?

Thanks!

My advice is to avoid using messages that require any redacting or where a fiance is called wife or husband. And then, simply find something else to call each other instead of husband or wife or anything that might confuse ANYBODY about your marital status, no matter how innocent.

That is something I checked.

The only place I found "wife" was on our personal message chats to each other. To my understanding only him and I can access our personal messages, right?

I checked the wall posts and they are ok.

No, I am not Indian, only he is.

And yes we will be interviewing in Delhi.

Then start preparing now...interracial couples have a very tough time in Delhi. I would highly advise you to plan on attending the interview with him. I would also advise you to make sure you have notarized statements from both of your families acknowledging that you are engaged and that they approve of the impending marriage.

Feel free to email me if you want more personalized advice.

Look up Team Erra, RCG and SherryandYasphal for recent examples of how badly it can go for interracial couples in Delhi. Not to scare you, their stories may not in any way relate to your experience, but better prepared and knowledgeable than stuck in AR hell without a clue what to do.

I used the term "wife" thousands of times in my chats with the fiance. We never had an issue. The only thing I blocked out were a few account numbers and passwords we've shared.

Still not a good idea, particularly for India. No problem blocking out things when it's clear what is being blocked but still no need to include examples that need anything redacted.

I am extremely happy i came across this. My fiance also refers to me as wife and i wondered in the back of my mind if that was going to be an issue at all. Now i know not to include messages with those words and for him to cut back on even mentioning that in chats as that is our main form of communication.

As indicated, Delhi is a high-fraud post and usually inter-racial couples have a tough time. Especially if there's a significant difference in age or religion or if said relationship has been mostly conducted online.

As far as India is concerned, do not submit ANYTHING that indicates that you both call each other as husband and wife. That is just asking for trouble. There are MANY couples who have been denied a K-1 just because their engagement pictures looked like a bollywood wedding production. (Frankly, I have never understood using 'wife' and 'husband' as terms of endearment when they are clearly legal terms indicating marital status but I suppose, to each, their own.)

Good luck on your visa journey!
