Maybe the easiest solution to the issue what I plan on doing. I will be the for the interview at the Embassy. Once the VISA is approved, I will purchase return tickets for the both of us. One Way ticket to the Philippines cost about $1200 at the moment. One-way from Philippines is about $800-$900. I am not wealthy and really don't have the funds to do this, but I am finding a way.

Plus, I think the process for my fiancee will be so much easier if I am present with her through the process.

12/24/10 - First communication with Hanilyn (Facebook and email)

1/25/11 - First Airline Tickets and hotel booked to see Hanilyn (we were already in love)

3/15/11 - Started Journey to see Hanilyn

3/16/11 - Met Hanilyn for the first time in person

3/17/11 - Officially engaged

3/29/11 - Returning home and leaving Hanilyn was sad for both of us. We wanted to be together then.

4/15/11 - NOA1

4/25/11 - Second trip to Manila purchased using miles

8/12/11 - NOA2 email arrived

8/15/11 - Leave for Manila

8/25/11 - Return to US and waiting on corrected Birth Certificate

12/27/11 - Recieved the Finality Paperwork for the Birth Certificate

1/2/11 - Delivered the Finality Paperwork to the NSO in Manila. Waiting again.

question on layover. i saw delta has layover in japan for 3-4 hrs. do i need transit visa?

For passengers (regardless of nationality) who are transiting in Japan for immediate flight connections and not requiring to go through immigration clearance (leaving the airport), a visa is not required.
