Finally good news. We came to the USA yesterday. We entered via JFK and everything was very pleasant.

Few things I am really not clear about. What happens next?

So far we went to the SSA office and requested SSN for my fiancee. They said the number will come in 1 month due to check with the homeland security.

The kids came via K2 visa and the SSN was denied. This is really screwed up because I cant add the kids to my healh insurance until then. When will they be eligible for SSN?

We filed for Marriage Certificate and ceremony for mid next week. Should I make an appointment with the local INS office to start the AOS process? Is there a thread/collection of documents which we can start filling up this weekend?

We hit the road block with vaccination records for the kids as the vaccinations required for immigration do not match the ones needed for CA school. What a mess.

I just learned that my finacee did not bring her own vaccination records. Will the vaccination records be required when we apply for AOS?

Anyway, thank you all for helping through this difficult time.

you cannot start AOS until after you are married and you have the marriage certificate. You dont make an appointment with INS office you apply the same way you did with K-1.

Fill the forms provide the evidence and pay them. Wait for biometrics and wait for interview or approved green card.
