I am just wondering if anyone has paid their fee at the embassy on the day of their interview? That is what my fiance's paperwork said to do so I just wanted to clarify b/c I've read a lot of posts that talk about paying it before hand. But he would like to pay it in US $ at the Embassy. Is this okay? Does anyone know?

Thanks!

Thanks,

Brandy

Why would he pay for it in US dollars when in the UK? He will pay it in pounds and I am sure yours is the same as OZ you pay for it just before interview.? AM sure some UKers will help you

The London Embassy website says: "K Visa Applicants pay the fee to the Operator Assisted Information Service prior to attending the visa interview. Instructions concerning payment will be sent to you with the appointment letter."

Is it his appointment letter that told him to pay on the day?

As far as payment, it can be sterling or dollar equivalent.

The part of the website that talks about documentation to bring to interview says visa payment of $350, so I was confused when I got the letter saying pay over the phone. Was really annoyed cause their phone line is like £2 a minute! I was also wondering when it should be payed. Do you have to pay before you receive packet 4?

His letter instructs him to pay on the day of his interview. There were no instructions to pay by phone or any other method. And he wants to pay in US $ b/c he feels he will be able to get a better exchange rate than by using a debit/credit card.

I was just curious if anyone else has paid when they arrived to the Embassy.

Thanks,

Brandy
