Hi Robert,

Did you schedule through website? Cause we did pay at vtb24 and could not plase receipt on the web, I called embassy today and they told me that service will not work until September 1.

Thanks

Yes, we scheduled through the website. The number from the payment seems to take 48 hours to get into the system. The format to enter is Date/payment number. ddmmyyXXXXXX

Trying to schedule the interview online but there are only 5 days available, and they are the first 2 weeks of September. Nothing after those days. can this really be correct or do they only release certain dates in advance?

This may just be the trial as it seems like we are Beta Testers. I would think that they would have a back end app that would allow for only so many appointments per day and then close the day once they are full but I did not design the site. I too only saw 5 days open when I set my appointment.

I checked the online appointment schedule this morning and there were now several days available for September. I was able to schedule the date we wanted, the 29th. No dates for October or beyond however, but I guess they only open up certain future days. After scheduling the interview I was able to print the confirmation with the details and barcode. After completion the appointment date and delivery address showed on the main screen.

Anyway, just an FYI to all.

Good Luck!

Hi Larry, you don't have a timeline - just curious, how long did it take from your approval notice to get the letter from the embassy saying you can now sign up for a visa appointment? (if you don't mind sharing)

2009/06/19 - 1st NOA 1 (I-129F)

2009/10/07 - NOA 2

2010/01/11 - interview; result - approved

2010/01/18 - received passport with visa in the mail

2010/02/05 - embassy calls and asked to return visa for a "correction"

2010/02/09 - fiance returns passport with visa to embassy

2010/03/09 - embassy tells us we are in "administrative review"

2010/09/07 - fiance receives passport back with canceled visa and letter; our petition has been returned to USCIS

2010/11/08 - 2nd NOA 1 (I-129F ROUND 2)

2011/04/19 - service request response - 6 months additional extensive background checks

2011/08/22 - 2nd NOA 2

2011/10/04 - interview

2011/10/20 - visa received

2011/11/04 - POE

Not at all!!

I received the USCIS approval email on 7/15 and the invitation for interview email from the embassy on 8/19.

well, we took a gamble and didn't wait for the letter from the embassy. NVC confirms they already forwarded the file and we were able to sign up for an interview the week after we expect to have the police certificate. October 4th is the day!!

Is it normal that it did not ask for the case number??

Good luck! ...sounds great to me. I'd take the gamble also.

(i'd love to get our boys together before Halloween!)

but i've gotten -nothing- since the snail mail NOA2 on 24 August.

no phone or email messages (and i did have the email form on top!).

Guess i'll try making some phone calls on Tuesday...

Thanks! You should definitely call the NVC, it's the only way to find out when your petition arrives and leaves there... they don't notify.

Good luck to you, too!
