I would think that if the first was negative then they would NOT do a follow-up test. You do follow-ups if the first is positive.

If the test was negative, then they would not make him re-take the test. Coz if you go with that assumption then everyone will have to re-take the test and keep on taking the test coz we showed up negative.

Also the embassy would not make him take the test just coz he looked tired on the day of interview.

If he gives you reason he was asked to re-test coz he looked tired on day of interview he is lieing right on your face.

Exactly. They don't do follow-ups on negative tests. The Op is in denial, which is a shame.

It's Victor from Russia writing. Many people going to interview tired. You can see on the map how is huge Russia, and we have only one US Embassy in Moscow for K-1 visas, so many fiance(ee)s going to Moscow from a very far away, changing few timezones (it's about 8-9 hours time difference between Moscow and Far East of Russia, for example) and having sleepless night or two. But I never read on our Russian fiance(ee)s forum which I use that any beneficiary was suspected in taking drugs from being exhausted or very nervous. Sorry for your situation. :(

; I agree with the rest, they don't do an other drug test if the first one would be negative. And everybody who had their interview haven't had any sleep, well, atleast, not much.

Something seems a little bit of fishy. Apparently he hasn't been telling the truth about using drugs. Maybe he is ashamed of it, or whatever the reason is.

Hopefully you can have a one-2-one conversation on webcam and have an honest talk.

If you decide to give him an other chance, hold on to what the Embassy told you to do and hopefully he'll stay off drugs and pass the future test (after a year?).

Good luck

Yes thank you...but if he has been lying for a whole 2 years, whats the point of a serious chat? he will just tell me more lies! I don't know what to believe. Do I believe the embassy or Fady? Would the embassy only do this if the drug results were positive? He told me that both times they were negative. He told me that the hospital only gives patients the test results if they are negative and if its positive, the hospital itself will send the results to the embassy. So he said he was negative the two times. What should I believe? Is it possible that the embassy did this because he looked so tired the mornign of his interview and they assumed he was on drugs? Is it possible for this to be a mistake and that he really isnt a drug user? Thanks for the replies!

Where are his results then?

7/15/11 Sent K1 Petition to Lockbox

8/10/11 STILL NO NOA1!

8/12/11 Called USCIS to get receipt number-NOA1 will be resent

8/16/11 Received NOA1 with date of 7/20/11

1/3/12 NOA2!!!

1/12/12 Got email notice we are through the NVC.

No, it is not possible that they made a mistake or falsely accused him because he was "tired". The embassies must follow the law scrupulously and have proof to back up their actions. His tests were positive and he lied to you. You should believe the embassy. Why did he have a drug test two times anyway?

I agree with Harpa. The consulate would not do that and would absolutely have to have solid proof to back up the denial. I would say he's been lying to you. Sorry you are in this postition and hope you have the strength to do what is best for yourself =).

Kristi you need to make a decision and it may not be the one you want to make but you need to let this go. Sounds like some major lies have been told to you and sounds like someone wants to get to the USA. SOrry for this awful feeling but look into your heart and use your head as well and you will know what to do.

Sounds like someone was caught with drugs in their system. They are submitting random testing and hes not allowed to enter for 1 year. Generally means he popped positive for drug useage.

Maybe drug usage in system, wait a year and see.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

Hello

Dont have more than all bro and sis said here, but being an Egyptian my self and even though alot of them are good honrable ppl, but many as well would do anything to travel, Im not trying to give you any kind of hard times, but I know the US embassy in Egypt good since I have some incidents with them(and still), and they will never ask for a re-test because someone is tired, many go looking like shi* from travelling, being worried etc, when he is done with his test, if negative he is given a closed env, only to be opened at the interview time, if positive, its send directly to the embassy.

so yes he is positive, and im sorry but yet he lied, also its good to know that he was asked to re-test becuase the first is positive (and since the embassy wana make sure their decision on solid facts so this is why they did asked for another test, that came positive), Im not against you or him, but I think he lied, and he CANT prove he didnt , no matter what, even if he said he can give you the results (because he doesnt have it).

Under the FOIA(freedom of information act), I believe you can have detailed explaination from the embassy it self which is a trusted resource, please see the required steps at Department of State website if interesed

Im sorry to hear that, I thought to be honest about it.

You know, eating certian food could give a positive reaction to drugs. Like haveing a poppy seed bagel, before the drug test, could have a positive result.

I would talk to him.

Good luck

If you do not have a definative yes or no from the embassy then you owe him the benifit of the doubt. Flat out ask him if he is on drugs and also consider asking him to take a private test and send the results to you.

AMP makes an excellent point about poppy seeds as well, we had a guy sent home from work because of those and it took much effort to clear his name. I agree that it looks fishy however fairness requires that you know that you know. just my perception, do as you wish for sure

I would think that if the first was negative then they would NOT do a follow-up test. You do follow-ups if the first is positive.

Right if the first test was NEGATIVE no NEED for a second TEST! That's that test over! And if it was a poppy seed roll the first time did eat them again for the 2nd test? I heard of poppy seed rolls comeing in positive, but here's the real question? What drug did he test + for? Marijuana, Cocaine, Heroin, other? Then the first one would rule out the poppy seed rolls.

Ok...first, thanks for all the replies. When he had the drug test, he was given the sealed envelope. And he also told me that if it was positive, they wouldnt give him the envelope. He said he smoked weed about 4 years ago. Anyway, I already talked with him and of course he denies everything. We are both very upset. I don't know what to do or waht to believe or what to think really! I did write the embassy back to ask them what drug they found in his test and if each time it was negative. Hopefully they can give me some kind of answer. I told Fady he had to prove that he was innocent by convincing the embassy that he was innocent. If the embassy says he did drugs, of course I will believe them over a guy I've only known for 2 years online and total of 2 months in person. I've been lied to before by guys...I know its a shock and I know how to survive and get over it. But honestly, its so hard to imagine! I wish you all could know him like I know him. He just isnt that way. I also told Fady maybe he should get a lawyer to help him figure this out. But, its all up to him now. He has some work to do to prove his innocence. But holy ####### another year?! and what if I end up wasting 3 years on a druggie! I can't believe this. Anyway, for those of you that believe in God, please pray that if this man isnt right for me, to let me know and have proof that it was positive drug tests. I need evidence either way to beleive something. And if this man is right for me, then please pray for God to bring us back together again. Anyone else that wants to be straight up rude and uncaring, please keep your comments to yourself. you can say Im stupid and whatever but if you were in the situation, its a heck of a lot harder to just let someone go! ANYWAY, Im gonna shut up now. Thanks again everyone...
