I am adjusting my status through my husband that is american citizen. Well, after four years of relationship we got married on june 8, 2011 and we sent the initial package of documents (AOS, EAD .....) on june 21, 2011, had my biometrics done on august 25, 2011, and just received the request for applicant to appear for initial interview for I - 485 for september 7, 2011 (two monts and 17 days after the package were sent). But I did not receive yet my EAD, that I suppose to receive first than the request for the interview and I am waiting for it because I need a job and I need a SS number to be included in my husband's medical insurance at his job. Please somebody can help me with this? All answer are going to be appreciate.

you're process has been really fast, you might not get it or receive it after the interview. it has happened to many so don't panic if it happens. some people never receive it and some get it after the interview.

there is still a possiblity that you might get it and will last for maybe a few weeks.

In a way, it's a good thing. It means your process is going quickly. You may still receive your EAD before your interview, or you may end up getting your green card first, in which case you don't need an EAD as you are authorized to work. The EAD generally takes 2-3 months, it seems, so you're right on the cusp. As for not being added to your husband's insurance, if they question that at the interview, you can explain the situation to them and they will understand, they've seen it many times before.
