Hi,

Can someone explain to me the difference between packets 3 & 4 and what it really means? I've seen members updating the status with "packet 3 sent, packet 4 received", just wondering what's included in what packet?

Thanks :)

Hi,

I am not really sure what that, but I think it is when you send package to Embassy or USCIS and then when they send you package with interview invitation etc,so all this they I think split on packages:)))))

Packet 3 is typically sent to the beneficiary with instructions for the medical, affidavit of support, police clearance, etc. Packet 4 is what's sent to schedule the appointment.

Something like this posted on the Sarajevo website ( http://sarajevo.usembassy.gov/iv_document_checklist.html ) for spouse visas. The K1 list ought to be fairly similar.
