Small K1/AOS Biometrics snafu

We failed to notice on appointment letter that the I-131 was missing from list on Case types. No big deal except I had instructed her to bring only appointment letter and passport. Fortunately she is blessed with inititive* and brought all notices.

Having noticed I-131 was not written with I-485 and I-765 on her form to fill out at the office I had to produce the I-797 for the I-131 in order to add that to the process. After that however it went fairly smooth except the processing agent did not see that we added the I-131 so she had to re enter all data again.

*She learned fast after dealing with SS.

May 2008 Met Online

June 2010 Traveled to GenSan and proposal accepted

July 27th 2010 mailed I129 to Vermount

July 30th 2010 Noa 1

October 03, 2010 "touched"

I131 doesn't need biometrics? Only i765 and i485. That's why its not on the appointment letter. AP can be approved without bio.

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Yep, I-131 does not require biometrics. You are fine.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
