I went to the US consulate today to file the I-130. At the end of my meeting with the consular officer he gave me a form with our names, and I didnt read it until i got home (had to fly!). It was requesting our marriage cert, birth cert and us passport photos be sent to them along with that letter. I was JUST there and JUST gave them all those documents! What gives!?

It says the I-130 cannot progress or be approved until they get those documents. The consular officer had my marriage cert and copy (and everything else requested)looked at both, made a comment about how we got married in USA but live overseas then gave me back my original.

I would suggest you email the consulate and ask why as you saw all that info when you were there for interview. Sounds odd that they would give you that when they just went through it all with you.

Divorced !st November 2012.
