Minors rights are ceded to their parents. I'd be very surprised if kids were adopted to people they don't like.

Gay pride day isn't as much about pride for your sexual orientation, it's about being proud of embracing yourself, finding worth and community, and living well despite living in a world where every day is straight pride day. It's just a respite from being in a world that at best assumes you're straight and at worst, perpetrates hatred, discrimination, and violence towards you. Straight people don't have to worry about that.
