My fiance went to the US Embassy in Accra today and picked up packet 3 and 4. His interview is scheduled for the first week in December. We were really disappointed that it's sooooooo far out. My concern is that the approval notice will expire in October. Does any know if he can request for an earlier interview date since NOA 2 will expire before the interview scheduled date?

topic has been talked about many time on the ghana board- they know about it and take care of it- we (fall 2010 group) all expired and none of us had issues with the expiration. (Search for topics before posting). There are many things like this for ghana because of the back log.

You will not have any issues with the expiration as the embassy will automatically extend the petition.

Your interview date is not all that far out considering that there are others who have been waiting much longer.

Mdlove,

It would appear that the visa gods have been favorable to you. Looking at your time you completed this year (July)and you are having an interview this year. Some of us completed since last year and are yet to receive an interview. I'd say you are okay.
