That's nice but be sure that they indicate that the travel tax is already paid with the ticket in their receipt so you don't have to pay for the tax twice. Coz sometimes, some people in the airport would try to make you pay even if you've already done that. So just to be sure, ask the travel agency to specify clearly that the tax has already been paid.

Good Luck on your child's journey here.

  • 2 years later...

Hi everyone im going to travel as 1st time immigrant I am aware that ianhave to pay for the phil travel tax now may question is since ill be traveling with my son who is 6mos old and a holder of philippine and us passport do I have to pay a separate travel tax for him? Or he is exempted to pay for travel tax?

Pls enlightened me with regards to this matter.

Im going to present his 2 passport so he would be clear to immigration charges

Upon reading some forums here in VJ it was advisable to have 2 passport, it that case he dont need to secure exit clearance from Bureau of immigration. (Am I right?)

Thanks in advance

Hi MommyLeleng. Can't help you much regarding the passport thing. But here's what I found for the travel tax payment for your toddler: http://125.60.203.88/miaa/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=78&Itemid=134

To quote: The rates are as follows: P1,620.00 for Filipinos who are not permanent residents in other countries. P810.00 for Filipinos below 12 years old and are not permanent residents in other countries. P200.00 for Filipino permanent residents abroad and infants below 2 yrs old.

So, I guess, its P200 for your son. Also, just to be sure, maybe best for you to call them for the passport concern. :)
