yall are all amazing! seriously, thanks so much for all the help thus far. i SWEAR im almost done with the packet! and almost 100% sure about everything. but something i did want to go over is the #18 on the i-129f packet- explaining having met. if you read below, that's basically what i wrote. (obviously with better grammer, a title, names and signatures)

i know that this needs only to be a short description of where and when you met. i do, though, want it to sound like we are in love.. not just have a bunch of dates. i have revised/cut/checked this paragraph many times.... i would like to share it- and if yall could just give your opinion-is it too long, lame, not personal enough, too personal..etc ***this is not the ACTUAL copy and pasted letter. im just putting the main stuff

My name is Rebekah....................blabalba

I met{fiance} the summer of 2008 , in {city}Mexico. I was an intern for two months at the same place where {fiance} resides. we were introduced and got to know each other very well over the 2 months. i went back to mexico for the xmas break of 2008 (dec 30-jan3,2009), and {fiance} and i were able to spend time together. i went back to mexico for the summer 2009 internship (may 17-july 25 2009). it was during these months that i started develop strong feelings for him and him for me. in 2010 i went back to intern in mexico for 6 months (june 3-dec 3 2010). it was during the 6 months that we kissed, fell in love, and he asked me to marry him. since being back in the US we have maintained a steady-long distance relationship since dec 2010. I went to visit from April 1-7, 2011, then again from June 25-July 3,2011.

signed/ dated.

ok.... is this ok? too much... too little??

any advice would be nice.

It sounds ok to me. At this point what you need to prove is that you have met in person once in the past two years. I wrote mine as a chronological outline, giving the date, duration and location of each time we met and then provided pictures corresponding to each visit.

Good luck to you! Hope your journey is a smooth on.

It doesn't matter you kissed or love..ecah other all they are looking for is evidence that you have physically met your fiancee before filing 129F.

That's it!

Sounds fine. Ours literally said nothing more than, "We met while working for the Department of Defense in Iraq."

It has been said before, but if you have all of the big pieces lined up properly you don't need to sweat the little stuff.

Nevertheless, it's a nerve-wracking process. To think your entire future is largely left in the hands of a single individual, the case officer? We barely slept the entire month preceding our interview.

Every now and then we remind ourselves of how grateful we are it went smoothly for us. Good luck, we wish you the same.

Thank yall so much! I'm sending the packet tomorrow morning.. so right now im just going over and over everything. thank you to everyone who has helped out. i have been reading these forums/gathering information and evidence ever since Dec. to think that the day is finally here- it's pretty big. and yes, i know there is TONS more ahead. much much more waiting, other pages and pages, more plane rides, interview, more waiting.. and then hopefully ill be able to share the same that some of yall have experienced- when fiance finally has the visa, and we are finally together.

So, for now... no more questions. I'm 100% sure on all the information/evidence/pages that we have, and IM READY!

-what ive been thinking about is this.. RFE usually come within how many weeks?? if we are waiting about 3 months, does that mean that we just keep waiting, and now worry about the RFE.. or can they come after weeks/1month/5 months. basically i want to know if there is a time frame where i can just not worry about RFE, rest that everything is ok and just wait for the ok(or denial but why would THAT come:)

but, thanks again for all the comments and advice!!! i appreciate it so very much

I think you should put your package together in manner that allows you not to worry about receiving an RFE. Be confident that you have done everything you can and done it properly. When I sent my package off April 29th, I got the NOA1 (acknowledging receipt) about a week later. I then realized I didn't include documentation of my divorce! That is a required document! At that point, I was worried about getting an RFE, but I tried to be proactive in preventing that from happening. I called the USCIS number on the NOA1 and the woman I spoke with told me to send in the divorce documentation with a copy of the NOA1 and a brief letter explaining what happened. I did that and sent it certified mail. I was pleasantly surprised when, last month, I was notified that our petition was approved and we can move on to the next step. Anyway, my point is, you should feel good about what you are submitting and not have any doubts. If you do forget something like I did, there is a possibility of correcting it without waiting for the RFE.

What you wrote looks good to me. My letter was a page and a half long so yours is far shorter. I think it's good that you mention each time you visit & what you did. It's also good to explain how you fell in love and what your hopes and intentions are. Good luck to you!
