If it were meaningless, you wouldn't feel as strongly about the issue as you do.

The fact that you do feel strongly should suggest that there is a rationale of some sort behind it that can be expressed and which is robust enough to withstand criticism.

Come on Danno, if you feel so strongly about being referred to as a homophobe you can surely articulate a rational opinion about homosexuali ty without the need to hide behind answering questions with questions and throwing up silly, irrelevant analogies. It's called having the courage of your convictions.

I don't understand the objection to someone being against homosexuality. It's as valid a choice to dislike it as it is to like it. Nothing wrong with disliking it because it's icky; some of you like it because it makes you feel good to be so "open-minded" that your brains could fall out. Not everyone is like you anymore than everyone is like Kip.

So, your liberalism, to be consistent, should be "open-minded" enough to allow for people who aren't pro-gay as it is about people who are gay or pro-gay. If it's not, you're not as "open-minded" as you think you are.
