I love PAL, and have lots of, "Mahubay Miles" saved, but honestly, those are better spent on RP domestic flights imho...

Has anyone done the 11 hour layover in Narita Japan, with Delta? Did your loved one have to greet any Japanese customs officials? What did they do during the layover?

Yes, she will not have a choice of Tocino or Tapa, with Garlic rice for bkfast, which sucks, I know.

If it's gonna be a pain then forget it, but I know already my baby is accustomed to delays, if necessary, and hey! saving 3-500 bucks is gonna buy us more diamonds on that ring!

So was it (or is it) worth it?

1/6/12 USEM received 221g

2/14/12 - APPROVED happy valentines day!

I just purchase her ticket with continental / with all taxes......for 848.00..........manila to guam..( POE )....guan to honolulu...change plane to denver to little rock.......total flight time with layover......27hr...5mins

01/31/2011...receive I-130
02/05/2011...get a e-mail notice of NOA-1...states case transferred to CSC
02/08/2011...check clears my bank
02/10/2011... rec. hardcopy NOA-1 in mail...priority date..01/31/2011.....sit back relax and ride this slow mule!!
02/14/2011... touched ( it must have fallen on the floor )..hehe
05/12/2011...NOA-2 OMG...98days u kidding me!!!!!!!

05/28/2011... receive DS-3032 in e-mail/e-mailed the DS-3032 back
05/28/2011... receive AOS fee bill/ and paid online.
06/01/2011... AOS fee bill shows paid.

I have flow thru japan to the philipines and did have to go thru customs. I didnt have any problems, but I have been thinking about the same things you are. I looked at China Air, the fly out of manila to china, and then to states. I have read some poor reviews with regards to the airport in china, not sure about the customs experience. Let us know how she makes out, good luck!!

I couldn't find a better deal from Manila to Atlanta, GA for my fiance than Delta, one 2hr 35mn layover at NRT, total flight time 19hr 50mn, if i can survive waiting for her for a month after her visa is in her hand the discounted price is 650 before all the taxes and fees, otherwise I'll have to sell a kidney and pay full price! :crying:

Two years ago, on my way here I also had a layover in Japan but I did not deal any Japan Custom officials. The only thing I did was, transferred into another gate and had my ticket validated.

Wonder if would eBay allow me to auction a kidney?

Maybe we could start an aluminum can recycling business (I heard you don't need any business license and the start up fees are minimal, just some rubber gloves, a mask and a can of mace)... How 'bout I'll be the west coast distributor, you could have the rights to the east coast territory?
