My wife sent by emaiul a DS 3032 form to the NVC. In addition to the automated response I received the following:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

We are unable to add agent contact information to the case record at this time. Please continue to notify the NVC of any change in the petitioner's or principal applicant's address.

<other stuff>

Sincerely,

Annie

Does this mean that I will need to resubmit the email at a later point? What do I next?

thanks,

BLH

As a Canadian applicant, you should actually be filling out the DS-261 online.

I am the USC and my wife is the CC. She sent the DS 3032 out and that was the response I got as her agent-to-be. I guess they recognized that part even if they couldnt add me, per the response. I am just not sure where that leaves it.

Well, it says that they received it, but it was probably sent too early because it said they couldn't add the agent information at that time. Have you tried logging on here https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx?signout=true and seeing if the DS-261 can be filled out? I'd highly suggest doing the DS-261 instead of the DS-3032 since your wife is Canadian and is required to do online forms (although some Canadians still send in the DS-3032).
