Are you sending in all the pages of your passport because you are not sending a birth certificate?

I think I would be safe and make extra copies of the stamps and add a caption to mention those are the stamps from when you went to visit, and put them with the boarding passes. List where everything is in order in the cover letter.

Yes, the fee is $340.

YES, JAY-KAY, THE PASSPORT IS PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP OF ME. I WAS BORN OVERSEAS IN FRANCE- (PARENTS BOTH US CITIZENS, JUST HAPPENED TO BE BORN IN FRANCE AND LIVE THERE A LITTLE WHILE,)

IM ALSO SUBMITTING MY 'CERTIFICATE OF US CITIZEN'S BIRTH ABROAD', PAPER... SHOULD PROVE DEFINITELY THAT I AM A US CITIZEN (EVEN THOUGH THIS WAS A GREAT CAUSE OF CONCERN FOR ME FOR A MINUTE)

thank you jay-kay,

and yes we are both free to marry-no previous marriages/no criminal records/no children/... a pretty simple petition. yet im FREAKING OUT! thinking about the stuff they could RFE us for.

ok im going to dig up some more hotel receipts, some movie stubs, bank tickets and what not.

*other question*

we are both 21 (but will both be 22 by the time we get approval and he actually can come - assuming the 5-8 month processing time)

is this age an issue at all, in your opinion. does it matter that im in school, do they care or look at money at all right now ( i know affidavit of support isnt sent until later).

*other thought*

he does not speak english (very well) we speak spanish, and although he is learning and will learn better when he is here, obviously i wrote the letter of intent and filled in the g-325a form. they will be able to tell that later (interview when they see that he does not speak english and could not have written letter of intent)- will that be a concern at all, or a reason for them to deny/question. should we have this in spanish, too???

THOUGHTS PLEASE O PLEASE!!!!

The age is not a factor for you since there is not really an age gap. Age comes into play when one person is like 10 years older than the other. You're OK there. They do look at money. Maybe not right now, but soon. You will likely need a co-sponsor. I'm not sure about the letter of intent question...

yeah... i rechecked the USCIS page, and it just says to have 1 of the intent letter (1 for him, one for me) and that everything needs to be in english.

im glad age is not an issue.

and yes, our co-sponsor(s) are going to be my parents- with their 2 jobs, we definitely have enough "co-sponsorship" to meet guidelines and everything.

* as far as actual assembling*

- i have done the ACCO fastening thing- 2 hole punches at top,

-paper clipped little sections all sections separately

-everything separated by little dividers (with A,B,C,D etc-corresponding with what's on the cover sheet outline) (at the bottom of the pages, not the side)

-i placed everything in a clear ziplock folder-cool thing i found at office max

-then i plan to put all that in a bigger mailing envelope

-then putting ALL that in the final ready to go mail envelope ill get at the post office. (and send it "certified mail" , right??

does this seem good??

also, i dont know if this is much of an issue ( and im sure they are not "suppose" to base decisions on whether or not someone has an illness/handicap or not... but i have arthritis, and obviously will get that information later. my fiance has also had eye surgery- and is planning on having the other one operated on pretty soon.

for later on, how big of an issue is this. for me, personally, i can say that these illnesses, although chronic, do not/ will not impair our future success (as a couple, with our jobs etc).

do you think the visa people look at this as suspicious... or that we are "unfit" in any way.

Your ages are not a factor, as you only have to be 18 to file, and you have no age gap between you.

The letter of intent must be in English, so don't send a Spanish one. As long as he knows what the letter that he signed says, it is all good.

He will be able to have his visa interview at Juarez in Spanish.

If you do not make income above the 125% poverty guideline, then start lining up a co-sponsor while you are waiting for the petition approval.

with the packet and pictures- i have already made photocopies of the pictures...

-do most people do photocopies (black and white) or submit the actual hard copy ( glued or taped on a piece of paper).

-if i already have the photocopy done, can i just WRITE in ink next to it a description of the pic (dates and people in it). or should i "make it pretty", color photocopy, type out descriptions...

your advice??

Personally I think you are over loading your paperwork Lets face it the USCIS staff see a huge pile come in what do you think they will do? Leave it till later as too much to go through. I don't know but we never included plane receipts boarding passes nothing and I am from Australia. SO go figure. You really DO NOT need more than 8 pictures dated and signed as to where they were taken. They DO NOT need your letters nor cards and and movie stubs :wacko:and bank tickets WTH? You need to keep it simple but precise. SO a few pics a few emails and boarding passes if its what everyone is doing now and your letter of intent to marry in 90 days of his arrival. You will NOT get and RFE if you follow the instructions of what to send in. You are young yes but that is not an issue and your 134 comes at his interview stage and you will need a co sponsor as you are i school yes? SO don't worry for now you will drive yourself crazy just keep to the facts and send your paperwork in.

We sent in printed pics on photo paper and wrote on the back but if you have glued them on paper that's fine just write where they were taken and date them.

hi yall... about to send the I-129F packet. Every time I check and re check i think of new questions, i stress a little bit more.. so I just want to ask about the packet to those who know-

1- with the I-129F packet and sending the "evidence of having met/ relationship"- I have photocopies of some pictures of me and my fiance - some pictures of just us together (wearing different things, different locations.) I also have pictures of us with his family in Mexico.. (some pictures of us with sisters, nieces, dad.. etc). The question is *should the pictures be in color?? * and do i have to have a description of the photo??-where it was taken, year, who is in the photo??-

2- how necessary is extra evidence and such.. i have some emails from my fiance to my parents :) discussing our relationship etc.. also phone bills and records, and some letters that i have sent him and him to me..

Thanks so much all who read and help!!

it would be better if the photos were printed in colour.

any info related to the photo is good.

yall are all amazing! seriously, thank you so much.

i dont have TOO much evidence. and all of it is good evidence, not frivolous stuff..

I have a question about #18 on the i-129f packet- explaining meeting/relationship over the past 2 years. i know that this needs only to be a short description of where and when you met. i do, though, want it to sound like we are in love.. not just have a bunch of dates. i have revised/cut/checked this paragraph many times.... i would like to share it- and if yall could just give your opinion-is it too long, lame, not personal enough, too personal... bad grammer (im not a writer:) ***this is not the ACTUAL copy and pasted letter. im just putting the main stuff

My name is Rebekah....................blabalba

I met{fiance} the summer of 2008 (i actually dont have the date of when i WENT just when i came BACK}, in Mexico. I was an intern for two months at the same place where {fiance} resides. we were introduced and got to know each other very well over the 2 months. i went back to mexico for the xmas break of 2008 (dec 30-jan3,2009), and {fiance} and i were able to spend time together. i went back to mexico for the summer 2009 internship (may 17-july 25 2009). it was during these months that i started develop strong feelings for him and him for me. in 2010 i went back to intern in mexico for 6 months (june 3-dec 3 2010). it was during the 6 months that we kissed, fell in love, and he asked me to marry him. since being back in the US we have maintained a steady-long distance relationship since dec 2010. I went to visit from April 1-7, 2011, then again from June 25-July 3,2011.

signed/ dated.

ok.... is this ok? too much... too little??

any advice would be nice.

It's all good just leave out the bit we kissed and fell in love kind of tacky to me and they really are not interested in that. Just write" I returned as an intern to Mexico for 6 months (June-Dec 2010) and it was during this time that he asked me to marry him". Leave it at that ok. Otherwise it is perfect.

I agree with this assessment.

You don't need to write a long letter for #18. Many people's descriptions fit in the small space provided on the form. You only need to list when/how you met, and then your meetings in person within the last 2 years with dates. I think what you posted here will work well, but you should change that one line like the poster above suggested.

I think the stuff you told me you were sending is good. It will be sent along in your file to Juarez, and they will have that info in front of them. It is not one of the hardest consulates to get through, but at times they do question people extensively and you need to prove your relationship is valid. It can help to have evidence already in your file before the CO begins to interview you.
