I assume this is normal to be at 4 months waiting; is there anything I should be "doing" now, other than sit tight and hope for the best? My fiancee's friend got NOA2 in 3 months (from CSC). We want to start making babies soon (literally) and she's not getting any younger so I don't really like waiting... the odds of success go down quickly as time progresses.

I know how you feel.. Our petition was approved just shy of four months and it felt like years ! I've known my fiancee over three years now and most of it was because her birth certficate was screwed up. The midwife who delivered her, wrote in my fiancee's mom married name in the maiden name spot. It showed she had no middle name (they typically use the mom's maiden name as their middle name)and couldn't get her passport. We had to hire a lawyer to correct it. The first one scammed us.. we waited eight months and found out he never filed anything. We hired a second attorney and it nearly took a year to get it done. So, I waited TWO YEARS just to get a birth certificate corrected. Then, I finally got the chance to send off the petition. I'm glad I got to know her more, but the wait has been very LONG. Just hang in there and if you truly love that person, just know it will be all worth it when the times comes. Take care !!

So much waiting -- it is very difficult. We, the VJ community can share in the feelings, we know how you feel.

My experience so far with timelines on VJ has been very accurate.

Stay busy, stay positive. I spend a lot of time looking for the "new and best" deals on international calling cards. Nobel.com is really good....

It's my new hobby - VJ updates and international calling cards. As soon as my sweet man arrives I'll probably never even look at my computer...HA!

Best of luck with the journey! Carla

I had to wait 5 months for NOA 2 and there are people who have waited even longer... Just try to be patient and work hard to save money for that baby! :)

Its not just wanting to have a baby soon that makes me anxious, and missing each other a lot. If we can get married before Dec 31, I can file taxes married jointly which means a nice $8000 extra back in the tax refund for tax year 2010. I know that's not the most wholesome of reasons, but I could really use the money to help get us started on our new life together.
