We completely feel your anguish. When I went to visit my husband back in August, I just didn't want to leave but he kept saying that good things come to those who wait. All we can do now is sit tight and wait, and all of us within the VJ community can support each other as it's now out of our hands and we can only act when USCIS give us something to act on. Hopefully, it will be sooner rather than later that all of our cases progress.

I like your words. Hang in there everybody, good luck. :)

August '11 filers please post here.

Hello. I received my 1st NOA with an Aug. 30 priority date. Got an RFE for our marriage certificate from the civil registry, not municipal registry on Oct. 4. I had had already sent an original, certified copy of of our marriage certificate from the national civil registry, but I immediately sent them a copy of that anyway, along with a cover letter and the certificate from the municipality where we were married, hoping they could see the two different certificates and realize that they already have what they asked for. Hoping they'll respond to that soon. I'm excited to see all these Aug. filers getting 2nd NOAs as early as Sept/Oct.! Does anyone have experience on sending evidence for RFE to VT Service Center? How long might that take? Thanks and good luck!

Hi guys,

Hope you're all doing well and your cases are coming along smoothly. Just to share that our case was received by the NVC on September 26, but it wasn't until I called them today that I was given our NVC case number. So for all you, once your I-130 is approved make sure you call the NVC regularly on 1-603-334-0700, then select the relevant language and press 5 to speak with an operator, in order to get your NVC number.

Please let me know with how all of your cases are progressing.

Cheers!

Best of luck all! Remember, spend these waiting times reading through the next steps. Get yourselves familiar with what's coming up, and start preparing many weeks in advance for the next part. And remember, love gets sweeter everyday :)

Your I-130 was approved on the day I got married (and my birthday) :star:

Hi all,

Just wanted to share a recent development with you. We just received the email with our NVC case number and our IIN today. :) And as per the instructions with the email we received from the NVC, we paid our Affidavit of Support (AOS) fee online at www.immigrantvisas.state.gov It's a pretty user friendly system, which asks you for a few details, like your NVC case number and IIN to log in and then if you follow the steps you can pay online. All you need is your bank routing number and your account number to pay. Hope this info is at least somewhat helpful.

Arg.. I received my I-797s and noticed the Immigration attorney had made some mistakes on the birthdays.

Called him and he is submitting a correction Tuesday, but ouch. Hope it doesn't impact the timeline. The helpful lady on the hotline I called seemed to think it wasn't a problem.

Good luck all. Interested to see if the process goes any faster or slower with us having paid an attorney. So far not off to a good start.

Same here! There was also a mistake on the birthday on one of our I-797s but it wasn't an immigration attorney's fault (coz we didnt hire one). My husband called the USCIS office and he was told it was just a minor typo error. And yes, didn't seem to be like it was a big problem.

No our case was not expedited.

I was reading the previous pages and there I saw how many times you had to answer our question "was your case expedited?". I'm sorry about that. But I am really happy for you! Congratulations for the speedy processing of your case at USCIS. :)

Oh wow, time really does fly... 11 more days and it's November already! Our very long and tedious wait will soon be over! I can't wait for everyone here to be receiving NOA2's. :)

Hi

Im an august filer too.It seems that english speaking countries with strong ties to U.S. get done quicker. Also those with spouse in Phils may get a little more scrutiny than others..also if petitioner is in the military that would be an easy background check..they are getting the easy ones out of the way while others take more time..just my thoughts..hope it comes soon..good luck

Hi all, hows it going in here? Hope everyone stays rad.

I have a question, while our CR-1 is pending I can't travel to the US. Soon though I'll be taking a business trip to Canada. I assume that's allowed ;)

But what will happen in the, of course very, very unlikely event that we need to make a pit-stop on American soil, due for example bad flight weather? I'm just curious. Hope someone knows more about this.

Thanks.
