Hey all.... Just wondering if we have had anymore approvals for august filers????? The thread has been very quiet for the last few days...... I am an August 17th filer still nothing and was told I can't submit a service request until they are working on August 17th and I have not heard anything at that point.... I was feeling very hopefil when the August approvals started to roll in but the silence now has me worried..... Hoping all of us who are left here some good news within the next few days.....

I am still waiting for mine as well. Aug 22nd is my date. It fells like it is never going to come. Also it is so annoying to see people in Sept getting theirs back while there seem like so many of us Aug people are still waiting.

Yeah whatis the deal with that? It seems like August approvals have stopped and they have just moved on to September. About 2/3rds of August filers have been approved, based on Igor's list and Paisaman's stats, could this 1/3rd be those cases that require more time attention?

Arg.. FYI, I called my congressman's office and had them do an inquiry today. The response was:

Upon my Congressional inquiry to the California Service Center, they have informed me that your forms are currently with an adjudications officer for review.

You should receive a notice of action within the next 30 to 45 days.

I regret that I am unable to give you a more favorable response, unfortunately administrative processing takes time and varies with each case. Once again our office does not have the authority to expedite the visa process. Please let me know if you do not receive anything from USCIS within the next 45 days.

Reallllllly?? 30-45 days? Thanks a ton.. that's helpful.

Hoping in the next few days. Arg.

I feel like some of us august filers are being dealt with by very slow agents (If it makes sense). The others have finished their work so fast that they've moved on september files. Lucky us

Anyway my greatest feeling is a big disappointment in the USCIS and how messy they've been doing things, how poor is their communication with the petitioners about lengthy applications and how rigid they are in not understanding that people that are waiting for so long have the right to be prioritized as equally as abroad residents.

I bet if they could just decide to adjudicate abroad residents they could take the same decision about the remaining of august files.

So I'm left with my frustration. I've got to stop writing now....

Cheers^^

I am in August and feeling like the rest of you waiting. It's terrible!!!!! I called again last week, spoke to a tier 2 person and then we got disconnected. I called back, explained what happened and was connected to another officer and she was so nice and empathetic. Officer Cho, and I think she was from China. I was listening to her the whole time and thinking, "did I call the right number?". So empathetic. She pulled up my case and told me it had been assigned to an officer and I should hear something in the next 1-3 weeks. She told me every officer has a different case load with different complexities and some are quicker than others. She apologized that I had been waiting for so long and to please be patient "just a little longer, you will be hearing something soon". That same day, I also sent a note to my congresswoman's office and the person handling this called me last Saturday at 5pm to discuss a couple things with me. She told me I should hear back from her this week by Friday.

Keeping fingers and toes crossed. So tired of waiting.

JUST WANT TO MOVE ON TO THE NEXT PHASE OF LIFE. TIRED OF WAITING AND MISSING MY HUSBAND!!!!

At least I get to go see him tomorrow for a few days. (L)
