Well I just called regarding my case and told them as others have I have already past my 5 month mark. And of course she said I was still in normal times she says that the time listed on USCIS is just an estimated time and not exactly accurate she said they are now working on July 12 lol well least it is getting closer. She said I actually have 41 more days before I can call for a service request. So we went from average time being 150 days now at around almost 200 days as the norm. So I have till march 10th before I can even bother to call again. All I can say is grrrrr.

We just got a call from out congressman's office. They just contacted CSC and they said that they are behind and working more at a 6month than 5month pace. She said if we still haven't gotten an approval in 2 weeks we should call them back.

So the lady from the our congressman's office will call them again in two weeks. It would be great if we were done with USCIS by then.

Continued Prayers for a quick approval!!!!!!

How long did it take for you to get a response from your congressman?

I emailed them on Friday and faxed all my documents/correspondence. A lady from the office called my husband today.

So basically 1 day, not counting the weekend.

 I'm loving a lot of this positivity in this forum! It's so nice to remember we're not alone in waiting to be together.

I recently contacted my senator's immigration liaison (WI) and she said she is going to send in a request for an official status update. She also told me that she spoke to the USCIS last week and although the website says 5mo. for I-130 processing for US Citizens, that the actual time is 6-7mo. currently and they haven't updated the timeline because they hope to return to that 5mo. timeline soon. Good information to have at least.

I'll post back here if anything positive comes from the senator liaison contact!

At least we've all got 5mo. under our belts. Soon, soon, soon.

You're so right - sometimes this process makes a person feel very alone...it's nice to know we're not :) And it's nice to know the sheer numbers of people who have succeeded at this too...gives a person reason to hope!

Thanks for the information - sounds like they're doing what they can to clear the backlog, which is encouraging! Soon...soon...soon :)
