Hi guys,

Can anybody understand how the USCIS is keeping this nonsense of not balancing the load between all the centers? CSC is overloaded while applications are being approved within couple of weeks at Vermont.

This is beyond my understanding.

Anyway, keep it up guys.

Cheers ^^

Hello Alia&Jerald ...

I have a priority date of Aug 19th. I used to be on line checking every minute. Now I am just trying to be patient. I look at the people that are from June and July and see that some of them are still not approved so that just helps me to have sympathy for them and be a little more patient.

Good luck and hope we all hear some good news soon!!

best thing to do is to get on with your lives and forget about it until it comes. Its only been 3 months and the average wait time is 5 months at this stage.

Hi Adriene,

We are thinking about doing the same. Can you please explain the procedure to me? What would be a good expedite 'reason'?

Thank you and best wishes :)

Well, my husband used to live in the USA from when he was 6 years old to about 20.

He had a daughter with an American girl when he was 17. He moved back to England

when he was 20 or so, and he hasn't been able to see his daughter since she was 2.

How time flies, she's graduating high school (valedictorian candidate!) in May 2012,

she's turning 18 in Feb 2012, and she really would like to share her many

accomplishments with him. :star:

We simply composed a very sincere, heartfelt letter, included a copy of our I-130

receipt notice, and posted it off to the California Service Center in Laguna Niguel.

The worst they can say is no right? :star: But hopefully it'll be compelling enough.

She really wants to meet him.

Just for reference, here's the letter his daughter wrote (with sensitive details removed )

RE: WACXXXXXXXXX2

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter to help my father, MH, expedite his service request to

come back to the United States. I have not seen my father since I was 2 years old

and would like to get to know him in person. Next year there are many milestones

in my life that I would like for my father to attend. My 18th birthday is

February 22, 2012, my high school graduation, in which I am valedictorian candidate,

is May 24, 2012, just to name a few. I would be thrilled to have him here on my birthday.

It has been a dream of mine to see him and truly get to know my father.

What would be a good expedite 'reason'?

An expedite is usually granted if the petitioner is in the military and has received orders to deploy to a combat zone.

An expedite can granted for humanitarian reasons, for example, the beneficiary lives in a war zone or an area devastated by a natural disaster.

An expedite can be granted if there is an extreme hardship (financial or otherwise) on the petitioner by the beneficiary's absence.

The request made by Adriene H will likely not be granted.

Hello everyone, This really is a slow process its now going 4 months and still nothing yet. I tried checking status it seems the uscis home page wont let me check it. Is anyone else having problems checking status online? It seems also about the only way to get things moving is to expedite but not everybody has a reason :( Other than we miss our spouse to the point it is making us crazy. Anyway wishing everyone good luck and hoping we will all be getting some news by next month.
