Also, states that you do not need a police report if you are coming from

mexico and you do not need a appointment for a interview, is this true.

I am going to Mexico to visit my fiancee on thrusday and I would like to

take everything she needs, so we can go over them and fill them out together.

I read on some of the forms that she needs a passport and she doesn't have one

will this be a problem?

I will also, take her a complete copy of the I129f applicatioin.

Any advise or insite on the interview process would be appriciated, I am planning

on flying to El Paso and meeting her in CDJ. How many day should I plan on staying?

Thanks

She will fill out the forms from the Fiance packet for a NON-immigrant visa. These are the same forms they will send to her and to you in the fiance packet. She will need the "appointment" letter from the fiance packet for the interview as well as a passport.

I am also trying to figure out what is needed to take to the embassy. The packet has been mailed, but it will take up to 5 weeks they told me. We have passports and everything ready. I thought someone had said that you don't have to wait for the packet and the appointment letter, and that you could get the letter in CDJ and all of the other papers from the CDJ embassy website. Is this true?

If that is true, I also was wondering about the papers needed. Is there any other documents besides the documents listed under the "fiance packet" section that we would need?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping to go ASAP if I don't have to wait on the packet.

The Mexican Passport is a lot easier and quicker ( at least for us) than obtaining a U.S. Passport. You will need the ORIGINAL birth certificate along with the Credencial Electoral ( pretty much like a national ID card and voters registration wrapped up in one). There is usually a place for the Passport photo in the same building. Take copies of your originals. We went to the Plaza de Las Americas en Xalapa Veracruz. in by 10 out by 12., However you have to return after 3 for them to give you your Passport. SAME DAY !!!!!

The fees depend on the duration of the passport, the longer validaty the more cost.

Good Luck
