How long from SIF to case closed??

How long from the time you get SIF till it is closed. I keep calling and I am told it is in final review for the last week. ughhhhh.

USCIS Process - CR-1 Visa

Service Center :: Vermont Service Center

Consulate :: Montreal - Canada

02/12/11 - filed for I-130

02/16/11 - NOA1

05/17/11 - NOA2

(90 Days for Approval)

NVC:

05/24/11 - received case number, IIN, and beneficiary ID number from operator, gave email addresses, sent in optin email

05/26/11 - AOS bill invoiced and paid, submitted DS-261

05/31/11 - AOS bill appears as PAID, emailed I-864 package

07/22/11 - IV bill invoiced and paid

07/26/11 - IV bill appears as PAID, submitted DS-260, emailed supporting documents

08/03/11 - SIF (Sign In Fail)

08/10/11 - CC (received case complete)

08/16/11 - interview date assigned (received interview package by email on xx/xx)

Medical / US Consulate / POE:

09/23/11 - medical at Medisys... PASSED

09/29/11 - interview

xx/xx/11 - visa received

xx/xx/11 - POE

Hmm...its usually within a few days, sometimes even the same day.

Hope you get CC soon

USCIS

30 Nov 2010 - Sent I-130 to Chicago

1 Dec 2010 - I-130 received at Chicago

18 Apr 2011 - APPROVED!! NOA2 text and email

NVC

29 Apr 2011 - Case entered into the system/Case number assigned; Medical Exam in Sydney

30 Apr 2011 - Police Check Application sent

2 May 2011 - Called NVC and got Invoice ID number

3 May 2011 - Sent DS-3032 email

4 May 2011 - Received email reply from NVC for DS-3032; Received Medical Exam results

5 May 2011 - AOS invoiced and paid

7 May 2011 - AOS package sent; IV invoiced and paid

9 May 2011 - AOS package delivered to NVC according to tracking

20 May 2011 - RFE for missing IV package....still waiting on Police Certificate!

24 May 2011 - Received Police Certificate after 25 days (so much for 7-10!); IV package sent

27 May 2011 - IV package delivered according to tracking

8 Jun 2011 - RFE for original marriage certificate; requested supervisor review since we KNOW it was in the package!

30 Jun 2011 - SIF and CC - FINALLY!!!!

13 Jul 2011 - Interview date assigned! Scheduled for August 9th @ 10am

9 Aug 2011 - Interview - APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

12 Aug 2011 - Visa in hand

24 Aug 2011 - POE @ LAX

From the time you get SIF within 24-48 hrs they close your case & AVR gets updated with case complete status.

I got SIF on July 25th so I called NVC and they said its in a final review stage and told me to wait for 24-48 hrs for them to close out the case. On July 27th when I called NVC I heard the AVR say that your case is completed on July 26th.

Thank you for your response. I am just over anxious and second guessing myself on my paperwork.. Like did I forget something or were we denied lol. I just want the magic words.. Case Closed.. Interview is....

Trust me I know the feeling!! This process makes most people second-guess themselves at some point!!

I'm sure it will be ok. I haven't heard of anyone getting a SIF then having problems getting their CC. That's not to say that it couldn't happen, I'm just saying I've never seen it (or read about it I should say).
