hello vj family

i know this might not be the right forum for, so forgive me just a bit.,

i have a problem and i need help, i just got my visa. and need to travel to meet my fiance as soon as possible but my sister is having her wedding on 6th of october in italy and my fiance insists i must attend which is ok since i might not travel out of america for sometime. i have tried to book an appointment with the italian embassy for the past one month to no avail, i met a travelling agency who said that we can get a one month or three weeks transit visa through Alitalia airline. my problem is these, can that visa allow me to leave the airport and enter italy. i dont want to have any problem just because the guy wants to sell a ticket. they want to route me from nigeria then italy to usa. can i be able to attend my sister's wedding with the transit visa. please help before i make the payments, thanks

Ok. Do you really need to transit through US to go to Italy? I'm not sure I am following your line of thought. Or do you need a transit visa to go to Italy from Nigeria?

If you need a visa to go to Italy, I'm pretty sure it will have no effect on your US visa, or will it make any difference when applying for a visa to Italy.
