OH MY GOSH!!! An August filer coming out of California? Unbelievable!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Best of luck on the rest of the journey!!

:dance::dance::D:dance::dance:

First off congratulations...but just to mention to people, she filed in June, and got an RFE, so her NOA1 is not exactly like she filed in august, so its not exactly an auguster approval.....just dont jump on your chair too fast.

Of course im happy to see that people are actually working at CSC. And for those that filed before IMBRA I would assume your cases are not in the same pile as the people that filed with the new for as they probably dont process it the same way. That would explain why some people with the new form are already being approved while people from the IMBRA are still waiting for the NOA2.

Congratulations :dance::dance::dance:

Don't listen too much to the negative stuff, just enjoy the moment. I can imagine that it must be difficult for those who have been waiting for various months to get their approvals, so just try to understand that (but don't think about it too much). Instead concentrate on everything you guys are going to do once he's here in the U.S. (like the wedding) and I'm sure that will make you happy.

Congratulations!!!:dance::dance: Good luck on the rest of your journey!

Wanting to slow the process down is a strange problem to have, and I completely understand the reaction of some of the March filers. But for me, it gives me some extra hope that maybe, just maybe, our case won't take forever to get approved!

Come on CSC, keep it moving but make it fair!

Congrats on your approval. As others have said, you can slow the process down if you wish and you have given suggestions on how this can be achieved.

To those that had something negative to say.

Being together is not always the ONLY thing that couples consider with the immigration process. If that was the case then those already married and choosing CR-1 over the K-3 would fall into the category of 'not really wanting to be together' according to some  Yes the waits have been long and yes its got to be difficult watching those that filed later getting approvals quicker, but guess what........this has been going on forever, not just because of IMBRA. I wish you all the best and hope you all get your approvals soon, but please try to not bring another down, out of jealousy, for simply asking a question. That sure isnt the purpose of this site.

It still will take some time until your SO will be sheduled for an interview plus after he has received his visa in the mail you SO still has 6 months to enter the US. Plus you guys will hve another 3 months once your SO arives in the states to get married.

Time until Interview +

6 months+

3 months = at least over 9 months

9 months from today's date = June 2007

Thats more than enough time isnt it???

"IMMIGRATION" PROCESS (TIMELINE):CLICK HERE

You should contact the U.S embassy in the country of your fiancee. You can actually get an extension on the petition after it is approved from the USCIS. I have a friend that incredibly had his petition approved in one month last year in September. His fiancee wasn't prepared to leave that soon because she wanted her son to complete his school year. They managed to get the petition extended beyond the three months that it is usually allowable until later this year. She had her interview I believe in May and arrived in early July. So, it is possible to slow the process down.

If you have trouble, then contact a good immigration attorney. But, I think you will find that contacting the embassy is the best way. They will of course need to have the case in their embassy before they can actually make any changes. I think you will find the embassy staff can be quite helpful. Also, they usually will grant parents visitor visa for weddings.

I hope this helps. Congratulations on your approval. You still have much work to do.

Congrats!! and I know it's not your fault but do you realize how sick to my stomach I feel(and I'm sure others) reading your post???

Everyday day gets worse I swear. Now Aug NOA1's are even being approved? They had my petition over 2 months before you even got engaged? 5 months before your NOA1!! I was hoping to have my fiance here by x-mas but that's about impossible now. I guess 10 months isn't long enough to wait? <--sarcasm

I don't want to hear how CSC is finally clearing things up and fixing their mess!!!

They're as screwed up as ever!! How can they even THINK about processing and approving your petition when they still have so many others from 6 MONTHS ago???

I can't even comprehend their stupidity anymore. It's beyond De de de!!! See Carlos Mencia for that!!!

Again I'm not mad at you, but please don't complain how it doesn't fit your schedule! Give me a friggin break

Hornet....I know how upset you are, but as I read the OP's post, I don't think she's complaining. She probably just didn't expect that their papers would be approved that fast. You also have to consider that the OP's fiance is from England and our fiance/fiancee are from the Philippines.

To the OP, congratulations!!! As everybody have said, you can have your interview schedule on a later date.:dance::dance:

Does it make a difference were your from? I thought they processed the applications as a first come first serve basis? Am i wrong?

Sorry but Hornet and others have every right to be upset.

To the OP, you had a long standing relations for over 2 years, some parts for 5-6 months together at a time and you still haven't developed "normalcy" in your relationship yet ?

Sounds like you planned to have $XXX amount saved up before you were married.

You never should have filed, you wasted valuable time that could have been used on another person's case.

It's like the idiots on the other forum asking if the interview will be denied since their income is barely above the poverty level.

Hello dumbass, if you are barely supporting yourself above poverty level, why are you wasting everyones time trying to bring someone into this country ?

I am very sorry if this is the general opinion. There is nothing wrong with trying to do things responsibly so as not to add to the already overwhelming debt in the US. There is an absolutely lovely person on this board who has also filed but does not intend to immigrate until July 07 because that is when her US fiance will be back from military service. Have they wasted valuable time too? Will you be the one to look them in their face and tell them that? To the OP - congrats to you - both for receiving your approval and for withstanding attacks like these.

You don't get it do you ?

There's nothing wrong about wanting to do things responsibly and not add to the national debt.

This isn't a case of "I will file when i know we will be financially secure so we can continue a strong and lasting marriage and relationship."

This is a case of "I don't want to wait until we are ready or almost ready. I want to file now, screw everyone else so I can be approved and I don't have to wait when I am ready to get married."
