My wife is a green card holder of about a year. Recently we found out she is pregnant and we want to bring her mother here to help us with the baby. So we are wandering want needs to be done so that she can come.

her mother only can apply for a tourist visa. If she gets it, she cannot overstay. She can only come to visit.

If Mom applies for a B2, (tourist visa) and gets interviewed, she should make no mention of helping with the baby, as this might be construed as work... and of course she's not allowed to work.

I'm not saying she should lie, but she stands a lot better chance of getting a visa if she's visiting family, as opposed to 'helping out'.

Old and Grumpy....But an American Citizen!!!
