When filing the I130 and I485 concurrently do I have to repeat all the the necessary forms for both forms? Like do I have to have multiple g325a's etc?

Also does every single page of the passport have to copied or just those with stamps, visas, and info on them etc? And then lastly how exactly should the affidavits sworn to have knowledge of the marriage be written? BY Hand, typed and signed and can I one template be used and signed by two people?

Here's what I did. Our stuff was sent in and accepted and is in initial review.

Thread

For what it is worth we got affidavits but at advise of several including an atty we retained to proof check forms, we did not include. Logic in my case being if you need to get your mom and brother and friend to say it's bona fide then it's kind of digging deep. Better they said to bring more substantial evidence of a bona fide marriage to the interview. I'm a novice at this so take my advise for what you paid :)

The affidavits,if submitted, should be from people that have known you as couple and would describe how they know you, interacted, etc. So two identical affidavits from separate persons would likely be seen as worthless and/or suspicious.

The point of an affidavit is for someone to say how they know you and what they know about you and your marriage, how they found out about it, how often they see you, etc. The more personal, the better. A piece of paper signed by someone that says "I know these people are legally married" is worth about zero. Have people write their own affidavits.

Regarding duplicate, there isn't actually that much duplication if you read the instructions carefully. You will need G-325As in duplicate for the alien, yes. That's one of the few things that are actually duplicate.

will I need an affidavit if I have the following:

1. Boarding passes and air tickets of when my fiance came home with me to South Africa

2. A rental lease with both our names on it

3. A joint bank account statement

4. Photos of the two of us over a 2 year span

5. The marriage certificate

Is that enough evidence?

She is a new grad and will be starting work in 3 weeeks or so but I want to file before that because I want to allow enough time for my AP to be approved before I go home in December to see my family. So I wont have been on her 401k life insurance by the time we file, and we done own any assets together.

i treated it like 2 separate applications that were just included in the same file. I put everything they asked for. better they have too much information than not enough.

It could be enough, but it is certainly thin. Rather than trying to get by with the absolute minimum you should focus on presenting a strong representation of your entire relationship (evolution of your relationship, comingling of lives, etc.)

Newly married couples don't have a lot of joint finances. So focus on what you do have and send it. A little more is better than a little less. Especially if you want to insure that you are eligible for AP in a few months.
