Yes. Also on alcohol too. And hopefully within the next decade you can walk into a gas station and buy a fat cigarette sized joint for $10 + $5 tax.

I think it is just common courtesy to go outside when smoking. A non-smoker (at least myself) can really feel it in their lungs the next morning after a night out at the bar.

And I worked in a restaurant for a couple years (one side fine dining the other side a bar). Working on the bar side was like smoking 2 packs in one shift.

Don't "choose" to work where smoking is allowed. I breath welding fumes all day long when I'm working in a fab shop, yet it's my "choice" to work there. "Choice" again...it's a scary word for libs.

Alaska = Republican state...where we have the choice to smoke cigs and weed.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

And the choice to say the same thing over and over, make half assed libertarian arguments and general statements with no supporting proof.

If it's not broke...then don't try and fix it.

Ya I'm repeating myself for the fact I'm correct. I don't want people like you making "my choices" for me. I'm an adult and should be allowed to make my own decisions. Does that bother you ?

I have nothing in particular against smokers but I agree with the smoking bans in bars. I don't see that as unfair.

I do see your arguments about freedom and liberty in that context to be poorly thought out.

Why am I not surprised that you don't think bar owners should be able to make their own choice on whether to allow smoking or not. Further I'm not surprised to why you don't think adults can choose to go into or not to go into an establishment that allows smoking.

All establishments here allow smoking, in a designated smoking zone. That's hardly controversial.

I don't. Every bar follows the same rules, easier that way.

so much for choice there

said designated area usually sucks in the winter around here.

There is choice. You can smoke or not smoke, drink or not drink. How is this not choice?

If that's the best you can do, then spare the bandwidth and stop posting on this subject.
