My receipt number starts with MSC too. I applied for AOS on July 14th and my case hasn't been reflected in the system yet but I have my interview set up in October. My lawyer told me it happens sometimes and it might never be reflected in their system but as long as you have the receipt, that should be fine. Good luck :)

Question: Did chicago gave you a 2 NOA's ( 1 for AOS & 1 for EAD )... Did they assigned different receipt number for your AOS & EAD??? just asking.... bcos until now i still can't check my EAD receipt number on their website, when i tried typing my receipt number it still says error. If you could see my timeline below, i got some feedbacks already online for my AOS but no feedback yet for my EAD bcos of i cannot check it online yet.

Gudluck & thanks!

rebelheart

I got the same problem...I was not able to check anything up until 8/22 - when they sent me RFE for taxes...so AOS is up on the website but EAD is still non existent...I guess we just got to wait and see

Everyone gets MSC when filing for AOS. I'm not exactly sure, so dont quote me on this, but I believe once it's processed at MSC, it gets transferred to your district office. It doesnt mean your case was assigned to Missouri, as in you wont be going to MSC for your interview,

MY CASE number starts with MSC -----do you think it will change since they transfered it to Vermont Service Center?? It's been 19 days now..

October 28 - sent welcome notice

October 30 - touched

boy this thread jumped all over the place....

just posting quickly to add that it took about 4 weeks for my case to show up in the system. it was the day i did my biometrics. it happens sometimes. there is nothing wrong with the MSC number.

when you send your package to the Chicago Lockbox, it is just for initial sorting. It then goes to the Missouri Service Center (in Lees Summit, MO) for processing. There they decide to either forward it to California Service Center (CSC) for faster processing, or to the local office in your city for interview. CSC is usually for cases that are straightforward and are determined not to need an interview.
