I have been waiting for the packet 4 for over a week now. Based on this forum it looks like interview slots for the Montreal, Canada Consulate are going quick. My question is if I can schedule the interview before getting the packet 4. I am sure I am gonna get a packet 4 email within a week but inteview dates are going really quick. The last time I checked it was 10-10-2011 I don't wanna wait then end up with a November interview or something like that.

Please help!

Call DOS and ask if your packet 3 was logged and if you are eligible for an interview. When they tell you that it is you can book your interview before receiving physical packet 4. Good Luck :-)

Ypu JeannieL is right. Call DOS and ask if packet 3 was received and logged and from there u can go online and book your interview. this is what i did. i was told that things for montreal have been delayed and back logged (more then usual) due to the postal strike. good luck! We got our email notification about 2-3 weeks after we had already called and found our packet three had been logged and the received packet 4 hard copy in the mail about 4 weeks later. calling ahead saves you lots of waiting time.

Thank you guys I will call them and see if I can schedule the interview.

What are the chances of getting an expedited interview date? My fiancee just had a baby on Tuesday. She already has another 20 months old. The newborn was born with some type condition that is preventing her from breathing correctly. My fiancee is depressed because she can hardly sleep. Is that a good enough reason to expedite my interview? Would writting to a senator or congressman make them move my interview closer?

Thanks again

I called the DOS yesterday they told me that they received my packet 3 and all required documents however They don't see a packet 4 sent to me yet. The lady told me that I should wait until the US embassy in Montreal makes a packet for my case before scheduling an interview. Is that true? I thought I could schedule an interview as soon as my packet 3 was received and logged?

Please help!!! Can I go online and schedule the interview anyway? I hate to wait even longer because appointment slots are going really fast in the Montreal embassy.
