Ok... I'm just getting a bit frustrated here... It's been almost 2 months from the date we file our I-130 at the US Embassy, Manila, and we haven't heard from them yet. Sorry, but the wait is just super dragging...

Are there any other couples who filed around the same time frame here? What are you guys' status at the moment?

Best of luck to all.

Thank you. But I did all that... They keep saying that the processing takes 2-3 months. I guess I was just expecting to get results sooner... (like most of the VJ DCF filers, who got their approvals within one month of filing.).

WOW! I'm jealous! haha! It took you guys only a total of 4 months to get EVERYTHING done! Congratulations! I wish it would be the same for our case... but at this point, I sooo doubt it... (still hopeful, though :D)

As far as emailing them goes, I try to limit my self to doing it every Sunday... and the first and only time I emailed IVManilaReplies@state.gov, they told me to send an email to mphinquiry.cis@dhs.gov to get information regarding my query... UGGGHHH! I so can't wait for this dragging wait to be over, and get moving with the petition process. I miss my husband!!! :crying:

Yes. Amsterdam sent our paperwork to Frankfort for "secondary screening". Amsterdam told me a little over a week ago that we should have a visa in hand in 6-10 weeks. Frankfort told me that it will take "around 90 days" for the processing of our I-130. It has been 110...

It is a bit frustrating because I can extend my stay here for a cost, but want to go back to the US to start getting things together there. I would really love to make sure that things are coming along before I leave but my current residency in Holland expires Sept 1 so time is running short. I have been assured over and over that it isn't going to take very long, but this keeps stretching itself out and if very frustrating!

what's that DCF for? who are able to file for that? just wondering about this

It means filing for an immediate relative visa- usually spouse- directly via the embassy rather than with USCIS in the USA. It is usually much faster than filing via the USA (see my timeline), but the US citizen needs to have been living abroad legally for at least 6 months before filing. After August 15th, DCF will be restricted to those countries that have local USCIS offices.

Bye: Penguin

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
