Dunno, slim. Thoughts rarely conform to the bipolar assumption/outright truth paradigm. As for how the criminals in Canada obtain their heat... the broadcast was fairly detailed in explaining the majority of criminally-obtained weapons come from the US.

As for what your personality is here online, well... you are prisoner to your own posts. Nothing much I can say to add to that with more conditionated words such as 'perhaps.' IMO some offenses that don't show a pattern of behavior are OK by me too. They shouldn't be used to exclude ownership. Frequent aggression on the other hand... is a pattern.

Its a priviledge in Canada. I knew someone would fall for that line.

But yes- we certainly are permitted to regulate access to firearms in the US. I think its not too much to ask to have in place a system that checks the psych state of a potential owner. You may think otherwise, but public safety will disagree with you on it most of the time.

Outlaw cars....or better yet make everyone that buys a vehicle, nail gun, steak knife, etc... take a shrink test so some out of touch looney lib without a clue can judge who and who cannot own what in this country we call the United States of America.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Public safety doesn't dictate violations of the constitution.

slip slip slip

Your pickup truck just fell off a cliff after sliding down that slope.

It does provide for the common good, including protection from lunatics with guns.

No.

Well, since you're not interpreting, maybe you can post the part that says what you posted.

Your opinion has no bearing on the law. But, thanks for playing.

Actually slim, in many states, his opinion is right, there aren't varying degrees of domestic violence. Now in the other thread, the old chaingang was bragging about having a criminal history, and now all of a sudden, you have an epiphany?

DV1, DV2, DV3, DV4, Violation of a NCO...those are just a few different DV's that I can think of and all are diff. degree's. I know there's more, and I'l post them if they cross my mind.

Any man guilty of any kind of domestic violence may technically be an adult has the emotional maturity of a child.

Explain that in detail please...I'm dying to know how you came to that conclusion.

With maturity comes self-restraint. Impulsive violence is the hallmark of someone who's brain stopped growing at 15.

Resorting to violence generally indicates a breakdown in communication, an inability to articulate your point of view intelligently.

Let me fill you in on this and this is coming from experience, not some bs TV program you saw on the tube, or some article.

A human being in the USA can get a DV on a whim. If your wife was to call 911 and tell the cops you looked at her threateningly and she felt scared for her safety, you could very well end up with a DV. It doesn't matter if you looked at her at all to begin with, all she has to do is make that call. Then you end up with a DV on your record.

That's in the real world, not some bs book, law, or TV show. It's called reality and it sucks big time.
