My wife and I submitted the I-130 petition at the US Embassy in Manila on June 3, 2011. We we're told that the process of the visa getting approved would take about 6 months. On June 15, 2011 I left for Florida, USA. I'm here now living at my cousin's place. I'm also in the process of enlisting in the US Navy. My wife is still in the Philippines because we're waiting for the I-130 approval. We're getting worried because we have not yet heard anything from the USCIS regarding our petition. The mailing address that we gave was our address in the Philippines. We gave them everything required and the officer at the embassy also said that we are good to go. We we're told that the process takes 3-6 months. But does anybody know of a way how I can contact the USCIS to follow up on our petition? How long did it take for others to get their I-130 approval?

My wife is in the Philippines now, and she said that she has not received anything yet. Nor have we got any email either. It's been 2 months since we submitted the petition and still nothing. We're just getting worried with what is going on with our petition.

OP indicated they are DCF (Direct Consular Filing), they will not deal with USCIS or NVC, it will all be handled at the US Embassy in Manila.

Your best be would be to contact the Immigrant Visa Unit at the US Embassy in Manila. Philippine Postal service is unreliable at best and corrupt/incompetent at worst.

I submitted mine in April and still haven't gotten a response either. So frustrating!
