HELP! I-864 number 23 my current individual annual income

Hey VJ,

I need your help before I can send it out because I don't want to get RFE on my I-864.

On question #23 my current individual annual income, should i put my last year income or this year income?

How would i know about this year income when i did get W-2 for this year yet.

I got pay $11.75 per hour and also get a bonus $500-$600 per month, in the past 2 years my bonus averaged $6600 per annual

my current income right now is $15,708 when i got my pay stub last week and still 5 month until I will now my total income this year.

If i put this year income should i put $31,040 or I put $28798

example:

$11.75X40X52= $24440+$6600= $31040

$11.75x80= $940x 11=$10340+ $15708=$26048+$2750= $28798... $10340 is 11 paycheck til end of December $2750 is bonus til December and $15708 is total income since i got my last check july 29.

Your current annual income is whatever you are getting right now - say weekly or bi-weekly or semi-monthly or monthly multiplied by 52 or 26 or 24 or 12 respectively. Substanciate this with pay stubs for 6 months and/or an employment letter indicating your salary. You will also send IRS Tax Transcripts (or full tax return filed) for 2010, 2009 & 2008 (2009 & 2008 are optional), which kind of gives them idea on your current annual income.

31, 040 looks like is your current annaul income.

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.

We are in the same situation. Advice I got from another site told me to use the W-2 figure from the year before, or to average out paychecks over 6 months then give a total annual estimate, with paystubs and a letter from the employer as back-up. I would go with the second option if your income fluctuates quite significantly year-to-year.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

 

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

 

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.
