I'm nor sure what to do, my fiance had his interview at the Embassy and was denied because the CO didnt believe our relationship was bonafide. He asked him about how we met and about my father ( who i have no ties to ) and did not look at any paperwork and did not allow my fiance to explain anything fully before denyinghim, He said he gave Yash back everything and a denial letter that states our case is goingback to NVC. My lawyer is of no help at this point. I dont know what to do... I have a few suggestions to write the state dept and my senators... but is there more I can do? Any tips are helpful..I could not go due to work constraints... I think that would have helped greatly.. I can definitely go if we can only get a 2nd chance..

Thanks,

Sherry

As it should - you're seeing all the same info in the OP's first post. No need for double topics.

Ah, ok, I thought when a post was removed we wouldn't see anything anymore. I guess I got confused.

Sherry,

COs are skeptical about Inter racial couples... you should have gone for the interview...I don't know your details...but the only route left is to call Senators take help or get married in India and get him here in spouse visa.

I have seen some good lawyers mentions here, maybe shop for a new one, I would prepare a short but direct letter to NVC, they should contact you or you have your original case number make contact. Interview are a point of time, your attorney should have prepared you for this. i do not know you or your case, but no father parent contact would be a item i would have been thoroughly prepared to address. Don't give up.

I would not agree that COs are skeptical about inter racial marriages and now days it is not very uncommon for an American and Indian to be married.

Yes but CO would expect to for your fiance to know about your family and also depends on how long the ongoing relation was and the circumstances.

The options you have is either you get help of senator and they can grant you another interview or you go to India get married and file for CR1.

I have gone thru CR1 and I can tell you from my personal experience it was not an issue at all, we never hired a lawyer we did all by ourself.
