Hey guys this is the DS-230 checklist let me know if I am missing anything

Passport clearance certificate (orig & copy)

Wedding photos

Birth Certificate of "Beneficiary" (original and copy)

Two Passport style Photograph's of "Beneficiary" (write name and case # behind pics

I sent my AOS first and the IV second. But it seems like the false RFE email on the second packet is a good sign that they are working on your case. You should have CC by Monday!

Just make sure you answered all correctly all the questionnaires on DS-230 form. Also, make sure you have (2) 2x2 inch US passport size photos. Wedding photos is not nedded.

Write the NVC Case number on the right hand top corner of all the documents. Also ensure that you write the NVC Case number, Full name of the Beneficiary and his/ her Date of birth on the back of the 2"X2" passport photos with pencil or felt pen (ensure that the pencil/ felt pen impression is not shown on the front of the photos).

If you have not send the marraige photos with your I-130 petition, then include those. Include any new financial mix - like a joint account, joint lease, 401K beneficiary,..., only if you have those ready. Meaning don't try to get those now and delay sending DS-230 - you can always take those to the interview. Rest looks fine.

I called the AVR this morning and they've received the missing information for their checklist aka the IV application on August 11. Crossing my fingers for approval today :-)

The NVC has received the requested Immigrant Visa Application (DS-230). However, we are still

waiting for the Affidavit of Support form. Please submit the Affidavit of Support form according to the

instructions on the Department of State website at the following address:

www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov.

From there, you can fill out an Affidavit of Support form online, then print the completed form and mail

it to NVC.

When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this

letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The bar

code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the

address provided.

I thank God, NVC recieved my AOS, Reviewed it and accepted it they are now just waiting for DS-230 and supporting documents.

Just checked with AVR and it's giving false RFE, So talk to an operator and found out that AOS has been reviewed and perfectly fine .... thank god !!! Now waiting for DS230 review as they have just received it on Monday 8th July and it will be on Monday 15 Aug I guess...

It looks like NVC received a lot of packets on 8/3 - so some got processed on 10th, some got on 11th and some like us are waiting. All the best to everyone who is waiting - the more important thing is to get it accepted without RFE - I am praying for that.

For what it is worth, I replied to the NVC email with RFE for AOS packet with a soft copy of my AOS and proof of USPS delivery - also added NVCresearch@nvc.gov also. Of course I got auto responses from both NVC emails. Will call late tonight and talk to an operator with hope.

Even though my email came on the 11th the AVR says they started reviewing it on the 10th.. Man I wish I had mailed the original packet just an hour sooner.. It would have been there on the 2nd instead of the 3rd.. The post office guy actually ran my express packet out to see if he could catch the one-day lot going out and I had just missed it.. grr!

Yes, sometimes a few hours cause days difference - may be even month for interview. It all depends - remember a lot of cases were approved in June/ July time. we will see more delays in the NVC process in the next one or two months - it looks like there won't be temp increase of employees at NVC to cope up with all this additional work.

Just looking at NVC timelines. It looks like the backlog started right after the July 4th weekend. Cases were moving at a decent pace before then.

I really think CSC went into overdrive and it really hindered processing at NVC.

It would have be nice to be at VSC and approved at the same speed CSC was. Some timelines I saw for VSC were interesting as they got their NOA2 on a Wednesday and on Friday they would have a Case and IIN!

Wow, that is crazy. Actually, I resisted doing this because I thought I would just find it depressing.
