Thank you very much for sharing. I am using the AVR even though it is slow to be updated and the payment login and haven't yet called the Operator yet. Thinking of calling today as a wek passed from the time they received my IV packet (AOS was 2 days behind). Hoping to get a clean complete and a September Interview.

Hi all, my AVR message didn't change. So I just called an Operator - was told that my IV documents have been received (NVC received on 8/1) and that they are waiting for my AOS documents (NVC received on 8/3). Of course they asked me to give 10 - 15 days for the AOS documents to be processed (didn't confirm that they received but said that those may be waiting to be processed in the order of receipt). Excited that my case may be completed by this week-end  . More exited that my IV packet that has the originals has been received by NVC intact. .

I called last night (Monday night) and there was no information on either the AOS or IV packet.. Really at this point I just want to know that they received the paperwork. I am pretty sure they did but I would like to have a checkmark on that mini-milestone :) I was thinking the soonest there would be a SIF was Wednesday.. You and I are near exact on our current timelines so I have been watching you close!!

I have read the AOS packets take a couple of days longer to process than the IV packets so the fact that we both turned those in *after* the IV packet might add a couple of days. Hope not!

We have the exact date of NVC receiving the documents. Your IV might be in process today - order of receipt at NVC or the way they kept those may be the factor. We can hope for AOS process by this week-end - it is only Tuesday and NVC seems to be doing well but for the NOA2 - Case Number delay.

I think mine will be done next Tuesday... just a hunch... :) so exciting!

My guess is you will have your processed by this week-end itself.

It is very much possible. Of course we can'y have medical done without the interview letter like you guys. All the best to all.

You can "kind of" get an inkling for your interview date.. click the portal link up there ^ then click on "Visa Timelines" and then click the little upside down triangle next to "interview date" and you can see the interview dates for your country with the latest at the top.. If you assume you are three weeks out from NVC setting the interview then add three weeks to the highest date..

For Colombia I can see someone yesterday received an interview date of 9-21 and it does not seem to be an outlier (there is a 9/16, 9/15, 9/12, etc leading up to the 9/21) so if I am three weeks out I am looking at October 11. Not perfect obviously but at least you have *some* idea of what to expect :)

I always run report even though it is subjected to the correct update of timelines by members.

I saw one guy getting 9/29 (** end of September) for my Chennai Consulate (a lot of guys have September for Mumbai Consulate). Since the last but one guy of Chennai is just 8/29, I am still hopeful. Further Chennai Consulate generally closes interview for the following month by 3rd week-end of the preceding month. So if my case is closed by 8/21, I can get September date esle it could still be early October (still great for March 10 (Spring-break) marraige).

September list has not yet been added to Chennai consulate yet http://chennai.usconsulate.gov/appointment_schedule.html

When I called the NVC operator he was able to say that August appointments were gone - as expected. He seemed unsure about September. Somehow NVC must communicate with the embassies on this.

and you believe them? heh ehehe... the USCIS and NVC have their own space/time continuum which they over-report to us in order to set REALLY low expectations. Truly. So... take that number and divide it in half, I say! :)

BTW: peeked at your timeline on signature, and I want to give you a heads-up just in case you didn't know... on USA forms, make sure you put the date in the mm/dd/yy format.

best wishes for a speedy "case closed." :)

Just called and actually spoke to one of the Operators. I got an RFE :crying: Apparently, I didn't sign the second part of I-864a (WHAT?). Isn't the co-sponsor the one supposed to sign that. I had my step-dad sign it. I wouldn't have sent it without that signature. Could it be a mistake on their part or should I just resend the I-864a?

Don't worry too much. I had a missing signature on my I-130 and they processed the RFE within a week. I think once you're packet is on someone's desk it generally goes pretty fast.
