waiting for CC!!!!

Today I called and the message says that they received my AOS and are reviewing it. Operator says they are waiting for my AOS.

Supervisor says that message is wrong. I complain. Supervisor thinks that message is right and system is not updated yet, because they have not finished reviewing my AOS.

Hope it's soon, like tomorrow!!

best of luck all!

I mentioned before - the AVR is correct in these situations. The moment the case is being processed by a supervisor, the AVR gets updated automatically. And the Operators doesn't have a clue till the process is completed and entered into the sytsem. The next best check is to look for SIF as your DS-230 was already processed or call the operator again after 1 or 2 days.

The AVR NEVER updated right away with any of the steps on our case. It always updated overnight. So I wouldnt say that it updates automatically the instant it's done. That's not true.

Insult to injury is the phone rep who chides my impatience.

Why was it not "case closed" last Monday the 23rd, when it was received off the Aug 16th mailroom arrival pile?

The delay doesn't make sense, and it just makes me nervous.

NVC: "20 days, ma'am. Don't call for 20 days."

me: "ds-230's arriving after mine have been processed and approved."

NVC: "how do you know that?"

Me: "forums where we have been tracking each other's progrss since March/April. Also, my own paperwork has not taken 20 days for any of the other pieces to be reviewed and accepted."

NVC: "Please allow 20 days for the NVC to process your checklist reponse..."

How do I get an NVC supervisor? I got one once before just by sheer luck - I think it was when the CSC mailroom was on hold for 30 days.

I am too chicken to send an email, b/c I might end up like poor NavyK - by the time they open the darn email, the case is closed, and they reopen the case! oh their process is SO convoluted. NavyK - I'm with you, man. Let's just have this be DONE.

I am just off the phone. I discussed with the operator and told her that the signed I-864 that they are asking for in the checklist generated on reveiewing the softcopy of my inquiry email was already with them. She aurgued with me that the latest I-864 is required. And I said that there is no difference between the one they have and the one I already sent (in the waiting) and requested for a supervisor. It looks like thye got instructions not to let us get a supervisor.

So she told mme to send them a email requesting to use the I-864 already in the file, as there is not going to be any diference.

Now I am at loss as to what to do - my new I-864 was received by them on 8/26 but waiting in line (process not started as AVR didn't change), so I am not sure what to do now - once bitten twice shy.

I never really cared for the AVR. I only used it to verify my case number and case complete. I relied on the operators more than anything else.

Probably you are right - just because it happened to me for both AOS and IV, it may not be correct. Yes, we supervisors are also messing up, how can we trust the AVR.

I think this might be a time to just sit tight for a few days. I know it's hard to do, but if they did not forward you to a supervisor they could have put a note in your file to not forward you on and let the process unfurl as it should.

I would not want to get under their skin on this one. Once you get a supervisor the case becomes more individual and who knows what can happen from there.

You can try to push it 1 more day... Aug. 31st. If no action is done by then, I would let it roll for next month which will most likely put you in the running for November. :(

Sorry Man...

I guess you are right - the worst could be to get pushed to a November interview. Two brains are better than one.

It is better to sit and wait than creating another mess - we neven know how they will react next.

I had send my DS-230 packet late last week. I called them today and they told me that I was issued RFE for missing police report. I had attached letter stating that the police report was currently unavailable due to delays at local police station and passport office and I can present it at the consulate. They denied my request stating that New Delhi consulate does not accept cases without police report being completed at NVC.

I'm still in process of getting a police report but god knows how long it will take. Also, one agent told me that I can email them the copy of report and another one said that I should mail it in. So, I'm not sure what will I do. They said that Mumbai and chennai are the only 2 consulates that allow you to submit police report after NVC.

Has anyone on this forum has been on same situation for Delhi consulate? Any suggestions regarding what should I do to get this case closed quickly.

I only of know of Mumbai and Chennai having the option of completing the case w/o the passport pcc.

Most of the filers for New Delhi I have read on here have not sent a letter stating that they will show the passport pcc at the interview. You are the first I have read that is doing this with Delhi.

It does take a while to get paperwork in India. I am sorry, but you are at the embassy that does require it for case completion at NVC. I have read several cases/threads of people struggling to get this for Delhi interviews, they eventually get it though.

NVC requires original documents as well.

Good Luck!

I guess your only options is to wait to see if they re-consider it or...get the proper docs to finish it up.

It would be a long shot if they reconsider..it's worth a try, but I would suggest doing the latter I suggested above.

Good Luck.

I guess your only options is to wait to see if they re-consider it or...get the proper docs to finish it up.

It would be a long shot if they reconsider..it's worth a try, but I would suggest doing the latter I suggested above.

Good Luck.

I'm just going to send the original once I get it. Unfortunately this means that I will probably get nov or dec interview date now.

Oh thanks so the AVR is the latest? the operator said that have to wait 20 business days.

However AVR says AOS received

and operator says we are missing it.

I said there is conflicting information, which information is correct. Give us 20 business days to give you a response. I then hung up on him!

He said my notes from the supervisor are in the system already.
