Waiting for Case Completion at NVC

It would be nice if NVC's IT person would program an email that says "case complete, we will contact you with your interview date in [6-8 weeks]." You'd think that would reduce the number of calls to the phone bank.

Come on you are trying to reduce the power of NVC. Yah, I wish that they improve not just their communcation process but also the FIFO (First In First Out) procedure of disposing cases, so that there are no heartaches - Is this a realistic wish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just called and spoke to the same guy I talked to yesterday and he said you called yesterday and I told you it could take 20 business days. I said I know that but I'm still going to call just because it CAN take 20 business days doesn't mean it WILL take 20 business days lol

AH! RFE

just called the AVR

"The NVC has received these Packet of forms and found information incomplete or missing on your financial information.

NVC mailed a checklist letter on 17th"

I am guessing this is about our AOS which I wasn't expecting as it only arrived on the 16th. Was expecting news about our IV which was delivered last week.

I will call a bit later, will they tell me what is wrong exactly, or do I have to wait for the mail to arrive?

Damn this process.

call back and talk to a rep and they can verify WHAT exactly is missing or if it is just a false RFE but it probably IS false since they haven't reviewed your AOS packet and THAT is your financial info that's missing

Don't worry. Looking at your timeline, it is almost certain that it is the false RFE for the AOS packet and that DS-230 is alright. Please do call the operator and he/she will at least confirm that DS-230 is fine but will give you the ####### "20 business days/ 6-8 weeks ..." for the AOS to be processed.

Would it be OK for my wife (petitioner) to change jobs after the AOS has been accepted. (I hoping for this next week)

She is so miserable in her current job and only staying there to keep things smooth and show she is a good financial sponsor

Anyone know what could be the implications of this? would I need updated forms? or re-submission?

I'm with ya on the feeling ill lol. I'm hoping my IV packet is close to yours so maybe I can be done with this by the weekend and can relax. As long as I know they've got everything and it's in good order I don't mind waiting to find out the interview because really it won't be till October now.

Really she can change jobs now as long as when you submitted the information it was accurate. They may ask where she works during the interview so if she does change just be prepared to offer up the situation

All th best - you may get a false RFE after your DS-230 is processed (it could be the other way but generally AOS takes more time) even if you send those together. Just don't be alarmed.

No problem, as long as she gets wages that satisfies Consulate. Try not to drag them to this topic at interview but if it comes up just be truthful and tell the facts - at the worst they may ask for a new AOS or Pay stub or employment letter.

Have you heard anything on your IV package? We sent ours at the same time. I called earlier and nothing, same 20 speech.

I think I am about a week behind you as I sent our AOS late.

I have been reading a few things that surprised me on the London Interviews.

They won't schedule a medical without an interview date? News to me

We need to take our police clearance to the medical. I sent my original, would a copy do, you think?

Would be good to keep each other up to date on the London medicals and interviews.

I rang up and scheduled my Medical for Sept 6th in London a couple of days ago. They just asked for my NVC Case Number and whether I had a police certificate to bring. I live a few hours away from London so wanted to have my medical when I'm due to be there anyway and also when my husband is here visiting. They said a copy of police certificate is fine and a normal UK sized passport photo is also ok. I see no problem in booking it before you get an interview date, especially as lots of trips to London just adds to the overall cost.

Just called them to find out what's missing. YES! just a false RFE, they are waiting on the AOS package.

IV package all fine and approved!!!

one down.. now the hardest to go.
