Waiting for Case Completion at NVC

Once NVC has both packets it's all up to them. 8-10 days seems to be the average processing time. The false RFEs from the AVR that say "checklist response sent," especially when the IV or AOS has already been deliviered, is the first sign they are working your case. Then you get the non-RFE from the AVR saying "checklist response received." Then you just bug the operator a couple of times a day until they confirm CC.

That's another RFE. It could be false or true. In my case I got that message and it was a false RFE. It's just the antique IT system at the NVC.

When I spoke to a fella last night he said it was in good order just waiting for the beneficiarys info which I assumed was the DS-230 information. I would think if there was something missing in the AOS info and it was an RFE he would have said?

Yeah, if he says its in good order then it sounds like the AOS cleared. So a false RFE indicating that they are waiting to review and clear the IV.

A decoder book for these AVR messages would be helpful!

Most of us (interview at busy consulates) who completed our case on or around 8/7 have missed the September interview dates. But I guess the lighter consulate may be able to provide September interview dates - irrespective of that all the best with your NVC process.

next time you call - if they say something likethat, ask them "what do you mean by that? Do yo umean the ds230? Is there something missing?" If they say yes, then ask for the specific info ASAP. If they say everything is fine, you are good!

My phone reps acted very calm as they told me about the checklists, as if I already knew. "Everything's fine. We're just waiting for the checklist response." (me: the WHAT?!!!)

I spoke to another rep this morning just to put myself at ease. He said everything is fine just waiting for the DS-230 packet. I told him it was delivered last Thursday so it's just there waiting to be processed. A couple more days and I'll be out of my misery LOL.

I received a SIF also 1 week now. HAve last set of documents to present. SIF does or does not mean something good is it?

When I called they said its all ok they are just now waiting on last set of docs.

It's strange you would have sign in failed when you haven't presented all the documents they need. It's a good thing when they have everything they need because it's telling you there's nothing left to process.

btw NVC gave me the line that interviews are scheduled only during the 2nd week of the month. But I've seen threads where that is not true.

To be honest it's hard to say when you will have an interview. I realize a K1 is a different interview but when you go they put you in the immigrant line for visas and we were litterally told 3 weeks before our interview date that we had one already. I somehow don't think we would be that lucky twice lol. But until they tell me my interview is in October I'll keep the slim possiblity of Sept in mind. They also scheduled that interview past the 2nd wk of the month and that was the "word" when we did it too...only schedule during the 2nd wk.

Just got confirmation from NVC rep...our case is complete - THANK YOU LORD! Waiting for interview to be scheduled. She did mention USEM Manila is booked thru September. We're looking at October.
